SMRT maintenance so terrible that the buses will really 'mati' soon.

Hi mr carbikebus, I mean fast as in not to drive slower deliberately. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr BusUser, this is what I don't like. All I ask for is to drive normally so that you don't deliberately drive slowly. I believe if you depart interchange on time, you can adhere to scheduled intervals regularly except for unforeseen circumstances which can be forgiven. Cheers. Thanks.

If maaintenance is your issue SBST deserve not such a high position.
Most buses nowadays are in fact better maintained under SMRT. SBST doesnt even make the bloody effort to clean its buses...

I have to partly agreed with them,Majority of the ex-SBST transfered buses in Loyang are all in bad shape.

SBST buses are so much cleaner than SMRT...
as for engine i dont think both operators are any better than each other as well

You're damn sure?
Proudly brought to you by SBST...
My nephew took this, not all recent but recent enough to the time SMRT started bringing in DDs and have improved its quality of buses...
In the same period of time for SMRT side, even the Box rigids are SPOTLESS compared to this...
And I can tell you this is not isolated... The KUB and B9 (all makes) are the worst now
I can bet with you right, you place a tissue or something next to a seat or on the window, you will still find it chilling down there after a fortnight or so...
I don't even know which firm SBST outsources its hygiene operations to, but whoever is doing is not doing a good job...
And until they get it dealt with I really don't wanna ride on filthy buses...
I take 24 and 858 every week... it's almost heaven and hell difference... (and dont try to twist this okay SMRT is the heaven)
And I'm not gonna have another 5 years of carnage under Seletar with a company that couldn't even take care of the interior... Truly overrated company SBST is!
The result will be postponed till 26/10/2016.Wahlao..

Regarding engine... The CDGE is by far the ONLY bus model currently in SG that is capable of making roars audible from inside an office building...
((Man it sure as hell sounded like vacuum cleaners from my office. No regrets if they early retire under GCM))

I have heard a CDGE (SBS7324X) on 147 in Hougang Central Int in 2014, when the bus was still quite a distance from the interchange.
But this problem only happens to CDGEs, and not Wrights.
The E500s are also roaring by the way.

But E500 isnt so loud that can hear inside an office building.. And SMRT (at least KJ) will go and fix the radiator for some of them like 3579M 5052C n some others (just to list a few)

CDGEs are older by at least 6 years. Very likely the E500s will be in the same condition 6 years later.

The Wrights also roaring alr...
Literally ANY wright from svc 35 are one of the numerous that will roar like no mother...
though ofc not as loud as the CDGEs... but louder than most (I daresay all) the E500s...
when walking past the left side rear part of some wright it's hot af.
The dd I boarded today had sweet wrappers and a drink can on the upper deck. Tho it might be fresh litter so ain't gonna comment on it.
what I heard while onboard a wright another day was a child telling his mum "ytd the cockroach is still here today eh!" front ledge of the upper deck.
some a22s were roaring last time but now I don't hear any..
oh yea.the cdge can sill be heard roaring bit loud
CDGE some r loud. Loud until I can hear from a 12 storey building.
but the cdge still pickup faster is it?
Seletar Package DDs:
20 Wrights + 30 2nd hand from SBST
90 MAN A95 (new)
No E500s
90 MAN A95s is almost 3/4 of the order.

Heng suay lor...
Before the wrights came in they were practically racers...
Then SBST came and config most CDGE to wright settings so now as slow as them...
When 12 was still SBST its CDGE got not bad pickup...
Heard GA will take a few A22s/A95s later.

140 HC buses enough meh? How many buses total for Seletar Package?
As long as it is not SMRT, other operators are good to go. SMRT only looks improving when there are new buses, but once the new buses becomes old, the maintenance becomes very bad.
What to expect from a company that doesn't want the responsibility to own the bus fleet?
