As per LTA press release, 10 buses will have USB port and deployed on services 61, 67, 963, 969 and 985.
Progressively 137 more buses will be launched with USB. Not sure if all these are DDs as not stated.
It is a good move to have the USB ports in the inner side to encourage people to move to the back.
Does anyone know the actual row numbers/seats where the USB ports have been set up?

Unsure of the actual figure but all seats nearer to the sides of the bus have USB ports except for Reserved seats between the front and rear door..
Interestingly, the usual services 188 and 190 did not get the usb-enabled buses. A bit surprised with their selection of 61 and 985.
41 USB port..28 upper deck, rest lowerdeck.

190 too pampered already. Passengers of 190 already the first to get more seats with the introduction of DDs, I think its great to let other passengers have some "advantages" too. Agree?

There's already a 972.

972 is from BP, not CCK.
Exactly. Both CCK & BP are mature estates. Its not like a whole estate can fit in a car. There has to be more services from the City to CCK instead of from BP which has so many city services while CCK pathetically only has 190

LTA will ask you to take NSL/DTL or take buses to BP and transfer..
Where got time to transfer? Somemore the NSL is so long and the DTL wont directly link you to your destination. Even if can transfer to BP buses, how can I keep waiting for the buses to come, in addition to how the BP route services may be not favourful when you have an express route? You know that 190 demand is very strong

LTA doesnt favor long trunk anymore..The standard replies from LTA make me sick and tired of it.

Come on, no need to complain about 190 anymore. 190 is operating at peak frequency of 03-05 mins with DDs/bendies. It is not like the old days anymore.
But I agree that there is still potential for another service. I think will be good to have sv 700 extended to CCK via Keat Hong (CCK Ave 1, 3) to provide direct BPJ/Orchard connectivity.
700 has lost its loading majorly after DTL2 and 972. So would be a good way to improve loading on 700 while providing good connectivity to commuters.
Isn't anyone surprised with the selection of 61 and 985?
They both have such few DD buses in their fleet (only 3 out of 32 and 3 out of 18 resp.)
Its time for those low profile to get DDs.

Agreed. I think 190 commuters like me are already lucky enough while there are other services which need the same resources for 190
Has anyone tried charging on the usb ports? I haven't got a usb port bus yet. Is there any signage outside the bus that will indicate it has charging ports? So difficult to get one, that for now it is really a luck situation. So even if your battery is dying, you cannot wait for 30 mins wondering when the usb charging bus will come.
In due course, will help.
Has anyone taken a bus with usb port? How good is the charging power?

Not that fast, 2.1V output (i think) and my power bank can charge faster
PSA: No charging of galaxy note and iPhone 7s on public buses.

2.1A charging is not always a Quick charge if your phone or tablet do not support.

There is a signage inside the bus, near the BC area.
You might want to try 969..
