Also in any case most people who take svc 14 don't ride end to end, they are mostly headed for the central city sector of svc 14 (i.e. Orchard Rd) so some of your alternatives are probably what people already do anyway ...
Service 36. This service should be extended to Bukit Merah - Airport (Loop) and returned to SBST.
There should also be a SWT that ends at Marine Parade and uses DDs. This will also relieve some load from 196.

Problem is 36 plies Marine Parade Rd instead of East Coast Rd. It also does not serve the private estates along Mountbatten Rd.
DDs on svc 14 have super high loading on weekend mornings towards Orchard and that's why 14A was introduced. You simply cannot expect everyone to walk from East Coast Rd to Marine Parade Rd and take 36 which would also be bursting.

14 has super high loading even weekday morning towards Orchard as lot of people who live along East Coast/Mountbatten work at Orchard, Stamford, Nicoll Highway. Likewise PM peak in opp direction.

Joo Seng road is not wide enough to accommodate a service. People need to walk to Upper Aljunied (not so bad actually).

Unless LTA introduces midibuses

Can but guess LTA expects people to walk to Hougang Ave 3 or Tampines Road to take bus.
I had provided suggestion many times to have 115 start from HGDEP and go to Kovan/HG St 21 via Defu. Reply was they have assessed and don't think there will be sufficient demand.
Apparently, Defu industrial estate is also going major rework.

No point la,Regarding that useless DDs on svc 83,85 & 119 and the suggestion to use DDs on svc 82 & 386 also they ask me if i have evidence or not..

Ask them to check how many people board/alight, they will have evidence. 82 still okay with SD IMO but 386 should get DD. Most waterway residents will go upper deck. Even 315 should have got DDs but HGDEP don't like give DDs to its feeders.
LYDEP now follows same as Punggol/Pasir Ris feeders have no DDs even in SBS days. They just continue.

85 should. Jalan Kayu will still have 103 to Yishun and 102 to Sengkang.

What i suggested is not totally cut but reduce.
83:5 DDs and 3 SDs
85:11 DDs and 4 SDs
119:7 SDs and 3 DDs
82 frequencies is quite horrible thats why i say need 2 DDs..The traffic light timing during peak hours to Sgoon MRT just kill you.If no 81 in front,Then 82 can get packed.
Originally posted by Sbs6750E:82 and 107 should really merge and ply Upper Serangoon Viaduct.
Cannot,Diff Operators and LTA got planning for 82 in future.

GA deployment staff is 95% from SBST mainly from Bedok Int..
Svc 137
Toa Payoh - Macpherson Estate

New bus service into International Business Park and Bulim Avenue, please. And also Sungei Kadut. Thanks.
Modification to service 159
(The Toa Payoh - Braddell stretch isn't well patronized; perhaps this would bring about more passengers and probably relieve some crowds on 238 during evening peak. Alternatives such as 28 and 73 still trace the original route.)
Breakup of 51:
51: Jurong East - Queen St
(alternative terminals: Little India / Lor 1 Geylang)
------------------------------------------------------
164: Compassvale - Harbourfront
Provides a distinct express sector from Sengkang to Eunos / Ubi, and somewhat from Clarke Quay to Telok Blangah. Skipped sector between Hougang Int and Ave 3 almost covered entirely by 87 and 151, though coverage is lost after Eunos MRT. Route can also be seen as a semi-express variant of 80.
