I know my route somewhat duplicates 43/43M. But it serves both Buangkok and Sengkang MRT, so residents at Buangkok Crescent can choose. If they want a seat on the MRT, they can go to Sengkang MRT (and take the train to Punggol and back if they have time). Or they can go to Buangkok.
There are already flats in Buangkok Crescent, so don't say it will have ghost loading.
And it doesn't really serve all the flats inside, so a second service from Hougang may be needed to serve the remaining parts of Buangkok Crescent. But for now they will have to walk out to take '152' (or whatever LTA decides to number it).

speaking of which, they should have also build kranji terminal as well beside kranji mrt station...
More supportive of terminal at Kranji for 925, 170 than at Yew Tee.
If terminal at Yew Tee, it needs to be near Kranji camp, so that 302, 979 terminate there. If near MRT, no point because 302, 979 will just pass through as they originate from CCK/BPJ.

In future in 2018, I would like 43M to be removed and converted into a new service 104 that will start from Bidadari Interchange in 2018.

* Replaces 43M as it duplicates sv 43 in parts
* Will originate from Serangoon Interchange and extended later to Bidadari once it is ready
* Will replace 158 between Bartley and Serangoon, with 158 diverted to Bidadari via Bidadari Park Dr.
* Connect Buangkok Link/Crescent to Serangoon/YCK Road and closest MRT @ Buangkok
* Will connect Sengkang East Ave, Anchorvale estate to Buangkok MRT (given there is 102, 27 and 43 connecting other parts of Sengkang town to Buangkok)
* Will connect upcoming Sengkang hospital to Punggol west town & Anchovale/Buangkok estate (needs connection which is missing today)
* The fleet would be full fleet DD

This route is for residents living in Buangkok Crescent to go to Buangkok or Sengkang MRT, instead of having to walk all the way to the main road in Buangkok Link to take 101 to Hougang, or Buangkok Green to take 43 to Buangkok or Serangoon, or the very winding 325 to Hougang.

This is easily resolvable by simply amending 101.

Don't be ridiculous... For this one small ring of road you want not only one entirely new svc, but TWO??
You dont even need a new svc, leave alone 2... You made it sound as if an entire new town is being built...

I agree no need TWO services, but will have one new service given there are 5-6 new BTOs coming there.

* sv 38 will maintain its fleet of 13 buses operating at 10 mins frequency

My main thought is this: how many people need to travel from Simei to Changi Airport? If you are looking at MRT stations as transfer points, you already have 53 for Pasir Ris, 27/34 for Tampines, 24 for Tanah Merah, Bedok and points west, so arguably there's a good enough bus-MRT connection already. Simei residents who need to go to Changi Airport can well take 38 to Tampines East CC b/s and transfer to 34 (most convenient transfer IMO) so there's that.
Also svc 5 already links Simei town to Upp Changi Rd East so there's no need for a duplicative service that way.
Shall post my own thoughts on how svc 38 can be improved shortly ...

Not sure if you realized that you can go from Tampines St 31 to PIE but not vice versa? Therefore after Tampines Ave 2, might as well follow Tampines St 31 into Simei Road, then directly into Somapah Rd. Unless you have a reason why it should serve Upp Changi Rd East?

Do you know that there is no exit from ECP city-bound/westbound to Xilin Ave?
One way to make this work is to use the Marine Parade/Still Rd South Exit. So Jln Eunos > Still Rd > Still Rd South > ECP > Airport and v.v.
