I agree lol. Im quite curious, that if foreign companies get to run these services, i wonder the outcomes, like since customs situations r like vry hectic lol

maybe they want to lure Malaysia's Rapid Bus Sdn Bhd come Singapore set up "Rapid Singapore", that's why they include 160, 170 and 950 in the bus contracting model. I don't know.

CT28 withdrawn from 8 Feb 2016.
Is quite strange to find these:
- 145 is part of the Bukit Merah Package (Toa Payoh - Buona Vista)
- 13 is part of Bedok Package (Yio Chu Kang - Upp East Coast Road) [Would it better to go to Bishan - Toa Payoh]
- 53, 59 is part of Serangoon/Eunos Package
Looks like Svc 128 & Niteowl 1N buses will be a crossover from either one of the buses from the Bishan - Toa Payoh package

Hopefully Citaros will replace SBS K230UBs if need be for 160 & 170, just like Xiaomi, and then if can, can go to Scania N230UBs.

CT28 is still active but exclusive for Chinese New Year only. They will be under Clementi bus package.
Services 160, 170 & 950 are auto WAB but not for students' usage beyond Woodlands Checkpoint in uniform.
Service 170A is auto WAB but maybe for students' usage (I won't know).
Eh boss, don't make me puke. Thanks.

Originally posted by gekpohboy:Guys, these are negotiated contracts, not packages.
Although this is an indication of how the Bus Contracting Model would be implemented, it does not mean all the routes in a contract will be in that contract throughout the duration.
As to why the original operators get less money than the new operators, it is probably because not all of the original operators' buses will be transferred to the LTA; part of the maintenance will continue to be borne by the original operators.
I still think 172 and 180 will eventually join their SBS counterparts at Boon Lay...
and, no, I do not think there will be changes to the packages already announced.
Negotiated contracts should result in a higher, not lower contract amount.
As I have said, both incumbents have every right to walk away when their BSOL expires this month. If I were negoitating for either operator I would say "if you think TT is so great that you are willing to paying so much, why not let TT run everything at their Bulim cost base"?
Furthermore, if the maintenance costs are fully borne by the incumbent operators, the final amount should be higher because the operators are paying out of pocket expenses. If repainting occurs from September onwards, then the operators have repainting (lush green) expenses out of pocket as well.
Both incumbent operators seem to be holding the very short end of the stick. I am inclined to think that LTA's refusal to acquire their remaining fleet assets outright as the major factor.
Originally posted by carbikebus:So meaning TT is the Fav Son?
TT is being perceived on the same level as SQ. Whether they will deliver, we have to wait for their first KPI result. But I know in Australia, they operate like Tigerair.

Sadly, the list of routes and packages are strong indication of LTA's unwillingness to revamp its bus route network beyond 2022.
Many of these long winding routes and their associated problems will continue.

I agreed with you bro..But i heard LTA bourne 40% of the spare part cost since the buses is under them.
And seriously LTA should revamp back the package..Let Bulim take over 5-6 Boon Lay service instead of svc 66,143 and the 4 Clementi svc
SBST and SMRT will get 5.3b and 1.9b for running the remaining 11 packages..
In my opinion, I feel that some BSEP new routes may be withdrawn after the ten years grant from government, or merge with the "original" routes. There seems to be an over supply of public bus capacity. Furthermore, costs are rising.

just dun think so much... loyang GCM package start on 4th sept..before that, SBST will just continue to operate as per normal (under TEMP license), and they will just collect the fares (not under negotiated contract)... u seem to be worry too much...

what for? so how is ARBP going to accomodate 400 buses now?
obviously, SBST can choose to park the buses at any of their depots/bus parks based on the needs/costs etc even under egotiated contract...
this is benefits when you have several contracts/depots....
imagine LTA go tell SBST, that no matter what, die die buses from each contract must park at the individual depots, SBST will say fine...you must pay me more, cos the cost will go up because of diesel cost, OT cost etc etc...
further right now, SBST have 5 depots and 3 bus parks, pls tell me which bus park/depot to allocate for each contract?
