Malaysia roads are similar to Singapore roads, and somemore rapidKL got operate ADL E500. If they can handle KL, SG should be no problem.
If they want new player, Busways may win. If they want old bird, SBS Transit may win.

If like that no need to open bidding for left hand drive country like China la..What kind of stupid logic is this?

Do not feed the trolls. Watch them, when they debut in cinemas on 3 November. :)
If you recall, the aim is to have 3-5 operators; 1-3 new operator. LTA may let in another 1-2 new operator. Seletar likely for new operator.
The competition begins from Ulu Pandan, cuz there is only so many players. After ___ get Seletar, dun think got anymore quality new player.
In my opinion, Woodlands Transport may not have the experience needed. Yes, they have 1,300 buses. But how many are deployed simultaneously?

Ulu Pandan already in Clementi Package you dumbnut!
New Players is Tower Transit,Go-Ahead and 1 more new operator..The next available bidding is Bt Merah in 2018..After that Sembawang-Yishun which is in 2020..I am pretty sure Go-Ahead will not withstand until 2021.

WT only experience in Charter,Shuttle and ad hocs,Do you think they can perform magic overnight if they win Seletar? With the new systems,Even seasoned operator like SMRT also had their hiccups.

Hi mr gekpohboy, woodlands transport cannot make it la. Hope they will not get the tender. The way they operate the free shuttle bus services for Punggol plaza is terrible. The drivers behave machiam that the residents owe them something just because they never pay money. They forget that the plaza pays them to operate the free shuttle bus services.
1. Firstly, they pull long faces.
2. Secondly, they skipped stops at their convenience.
3. Thirdly, they do not follow the approved bus routes occasionally which cause people to miss the buses. Note that this is half hour every bus.
4. Fourthly, if buses are spoilt in the middle of the day, expect no replacement which happened before already.
You don't expect our public bus services to have such standards.
Cheers. Thanks.
For some reason this never happened at SSC

What?500 capacity depot for 18 bus service only?
Originally posted by carbikebus:What?500 capacity depot for 18 bus service only?
there are 301 buses currently for these 18 services.....exlcuding spare buses..
sv160/170/170x/170A already accounted for around 90 buses (including spare)
bulim have 320 buses (excluding sp) while GA have around 310 buses..
so the figure is roughly there...... add another 50 new buses, just nice around 360 buses..
Woodland package is the smallest i think.. around 240 buses only....

So CLE package remains at BBDEP? If CCK and CLE won by same contractor will they be both run out of BBDEP like the good old days in 1997?

Rapid Bus belongs to the central government. When they start doing GCM in KL we might see CDGE operating bus routes using vehicles in Rapid Bus livery.

no idea... BBDEP is slightly smaller (18% smaller than AMDEP/BNDEP), so not sure whether can accomodate all the buses under CLE package.. There are around 380 buses under CLE package...
my guess is that they might rebuilt BBDEP to multi storey depot... or even build a new bus depot at the current Ulu Pandan MRT depot
