17A could be withdrawn and replaced with a new service between CBP and looping at Bedok ITH, as several people have alluded to in this forum.

What number, 44 or 71... or 152?
Why did they in the first place they replace 227 then?
Has anyone poited out that 68 will be introduced next year.

Actually, they should make this new CBP service loop at Chai Chee. With DTL3 coming up, demand for EWL will shift to DTL. Bedok North Rd has no access to Bedok North MRT. So then intro another service from UEC via Bedok North Ave 3 and Bedok North Rd to Ubi to cover for the lost MRT connection that 17A provided. 17 will still be there for people who want to take EWL at Bedok.
Wah so many suprised this coming few days especially for SMRT and the new Operators huh...

After the implementation of the Loyang bus package, SBS Transit will continue to operate bus routes 50 and 117 at Punggol, 5, 21, 58, 88 and 4N at Pasir Ris, 29, 59, 109 at Changi Village and 24, 27 and 53 at Changi Airport.
So, it's 26 out, 13 remain.
Two months ago, SBS Transit transferred 17 bus routes to Tower Transit. Next month, SBS Transit will transfer 26 bus routes to Go Ahead.
In total, SBS Transit is transferring 43 bus routes to Tower Transit and Go Ahead.
Previously, SBS Transit had around 261 bus routes. After 43 bus routes are transferred to Tower Transit and Go Ahead, SBS Transit will have around 218 bus routes left.

Thanks for the clarification. I have updated the posts accordingly. :)
I hope LTA is wise enough not to introduce too many service for those expansion Interchanges..
Tampines:Hopefully only 3 service max.
Hougang:1 service max.
Punggol:1 service max.
Sengkang:2 service max.
Upp East Coast:2 service max..
See the movement of svc with added buses during mealbreaks and peak hours is headache enough..All accidents waiting to happen

Hi mr carbikebus, they have already planned before they proceed with interchange expansion. Tampines, Punggol, sengkang all 4-5 new services. Upper east coast 3-4 new services. They announced together in the main news when they released to the media previously. It is totally unlikely that they build the expansion just for 1 service for Hougang and Punggol. Cheers. Thanks.

They're ignorant enough thats all i can said..The expansion is also not that big either..Introduce 4-5 service how many buses already?Fleet adds in future all never take note..Most is short trunk or feeder service which frequent entering the Interchange..Haiss
So much for the overdue expansion, only to return to square one.

Hi mr SMB145B, the overdue expansion is not just to accommodate the existing bus services. Its main objective is for the new bus services to be launched for BSEP. It was announced before the expansion started. So your sentence only to return to square one should not apply. Cheers. Thanks.

Are you serious?
Now the bus interchange are mostly packed. The extensions aren't that big either. To top it off, how many BSEP bus services are they introducing?

Hi mr SMB145B, that is not under my pursuit. LTA looks at it a different angle from all of us. Cheers. Thanks.
