If SMRT win, they will just spam shitaro after shitaro on all Yishun services. Even for them having bendies is not going to be much of an advantage because most of them are retiring in due course and there are only a total of 40 A24s, of which AMDEP has only 10 or so available for Yishun anyway.
Coupled with the fact that the NSL parallels the two Yishun trunks, it will always be SMRT's interest to jialatise 851 and 852 so that nobody want to take them (like the state they are in now) so that they can push pax to their trains, since they are taking all money earned from train tickets as compared to buses which they are paid the same no matter how many passengers their buses take.
In my opinion, GA can é 边站; this tender no chance. SMRT should exit the race, cuz government-owned alr. Between SBS and TTS, I choose you. :)
Just kidding. Srsly, it's hard 2 decide which is better. I feel that SBS and TTS are equally good. Maybe should let TTS win, cuz they small.
I think it will be sbs transit. LTA will not want any other issues to forestall or derail the implementation of BCM anymore. They want stability especially after this Go Ahead bus interlining scheme issue which they even extended the seletar package from 6 oct to 26 oct due to it. Let's wait with abated breath for the next few days. Cheers. Thanks.

27th oct they will announce the winner? No need to go through the tender document n proposal ah? It will take at least 3-6 months for them to announce the winner.
I predict Go Ahead Singapore will not get it. They ran into problems again. Their model of outsourcing refueling to other companies are subjective to issues which are not totally in their hands. Newspapers reported that the outsourced companies underpaid their workers. They sort of protested and stopped refueling for last few days due to underpayment.
Now whoever thought that bus drivers don't do own refueling is a good thing? It is a benefit provided by Go Ahead and it is good for the bus drivers but it strikes back at the Go Ahead company itself. Cheers. Thanks.

Then what's the bloody difference?! Might as well scrap the whole BCM altogether.
LTA intro 3 packages before releasing the rest for bidding for a very good reason. It wants to ensure foreign firms/new local entrants get a try without raising the stakes too high.
In other words, forget about SBST or SMRT winning Seletar. They are there for wayang only...

Govt own cannot race? I dont get your logic.

Hi mr SMB128B, then what is the bloody difference too? They allow sbs transit and smrt to bid for seletar package and they will not choose them no matter what? Like that, they may as well tell them not to bid.
For my mail above, I am trying to tell that LTA may have been dumbfounded by the flow of events leading up to the Go Ahead Singapore issue which causes them to delay the closure of seletar package tender. So stability may have overridden other criterias. Do not forget that seletar package introduction was way before the Go Ahead issue.
Your point of LTA introducing 3 packages to raise foreign stakes in local transport scene will be very valid before the Go Ahead debacle in the authorities mind. However, it has all changed after the issue. Cheers. Thanks.
Just to clarify, 27 October is tender close, not tender award. Deadline extended from 6 Oct to 27 Oct. Tender award around February next yr.
Guys, how about "Busways"? An ang moh company from Australia. They got contracts similar to our BCM. If their plan okay, maybe can consider.
GAS in trouble again. 2 wks ago, ~10 out-sourced staff nvr come wrk, cuz their company nvr pay enuf salary. There was chaos at Loyang depot.

This one LTA will deal with the outsource company and not GA..Don't anyhow assume can?
Honestly, I am disappointed with the behaviour of the staff at Loyang depot. Just because they not happy, they show attitude. What is this?

Then i welcome you to join GA,Talk is cheap,Action speak louder than words..Dunno anything just shut the hell up.

And then watch happens when TT becomes big, as they are in Perth and Adelaide.

Well...talking about smart deployment, they should stand a chance(or even win)
Seletar & AMDEP are quite near. If SMRT is awarded the package, AMK Int buses can park their buses at AMDEP...while Yishun Int buses can park theirs at Seletar. Unless LTA is so fussy, which I doubt so.
Same for SBST. But prefer SMRT given that they have bendy buses. But frankly speaking, leaving it as it is, or going back to the time before 1st Sept is definitely the best.
Regardless SMRT win or not,They still get to use Seletar for ONP.

if SMRT wins, there wont be bendy buses for seletar routes.

True,If they win expect to see many NWAB bendies go for early retirement..

No need to predict...100% GA won't get it..

Either way or not GA wont get it, TT dont stand much chance either...
As I've mentioned the 3 packages are guinea pigs for LTA... They are testing which "food" is best for them when they are "fed"... No point using the same " food" what right

If SMRT lose,11 service lesser and relieve more parking lots.
Amdep can continue use Amdep,Lydep and probably some of Seletar lots for their BCM.Can park around 40 buses at Sembawang too.
For Kjdep side,They can utilise BPJ bus park once Bt Panjang ITH is ready. Can park around 35 buses and can use part of Woodlands Bus park.
