Why 28 i say winding?Because of the distance travelled,Unlike svc 46 or 69 which i considered is just a short trunk svc
28 long winded uh? You must ask those back then why they want merged it with 152. Also the amendment to tam st 45 & 33 is part of Tampines GRC ya
To those suggesting that 28 is too long and windy, 28 would have flopped if it's not routed like what it is today.

Service 28 winding through Tampines Estates.
Don't forget 3 was first introduced as a merger of two feeders (294 and 357). And its extension to Punggol was at a time when Punggol was still developing and there was insufficient demand for a straightforward PSR-Punggol service.
I'm surprised nobody has mentioned 5.

The windy part of 28 is in Tampines, 152 is a straightforward route, using the most direct way to get from Toa Payoh to Bedok based on the road network then. 28 was essentially a feeder bus linking Tampines East with Tampines and Bedok.
5 should be okay even if its long and I only rode it once. From what I seen, the demand comes from those from Bedok Reservoir.
I have to admit that 24 is winding
28 can survived also la,Last time its because of bloody MRT system that operators didnt want risk of having too many duplicate service. Then explain why 76 also kena cut even though its not a long trunk svc?I just voice out my opinion because LTA encourage car/bike users to leave their vehicle at home to take PTs..If this kind of svc still exist in large number do you think they will take buses to work? There must be a balance in everything mah..28 is not just about Tampines-Bedok its to Toa Payoh leh.
Svc 5 imo its quite okay only hope that PIE no major accident.

You definitely havent try the full route yet.
And yes, it delays all the time too.
If the route isn't under BSRF or does not cause finanical penalty to the bus operator, the route is not going to change.
But if it is under BSRF and the bus operator has been fined over the route, then they will ask for a change of routing if it is long and winding.

I would say 24 is long but not winding...

Most Airport commuters will take 24 up to Paya Lebar the most.53 mostly at Pasir Ris and Hougang,34 mostly is Tampines,27 Tampines and Sengkang. The problem now is they prefer 858 because of the runtime to TPE before they transfer to another bus to Sengkang or Punggol.
Service 43 needs the BSRF. 20+ minutes frequency, and 15+ minutes even during peak hours.
And no, I'm not saying that 43 is winding, though it is very long. Just because a route is 20+ km doesn't mean it is winding.
858.
