Starting with my question again.
What is the reason that LTA is not pushing for MAN A95 registration when so many B9TL are registered and lying unused in depots? SMRT needs the MAN A95s desperately.
Very simple and logic,There are too many B9TLs and SMRT doesnt want HC buses that have lower than their A22 output. If can,They also didnt want the E500s.

no space in SMRT depot mah.. so if wan to put them in AMDEP/KJDEP also no space.. and no old buses going to deregister... further they also have bendies which they have no place to deploy...
even WLBP is bursting, if u go see how they park the buses at night time? if sway sway kenna fire, none of the buses can be moved at all.

Agreed..Now with their feeders and intratowns spammed with A22s why not early retire their 21 units of MK II and 20 units of Volgren O405Gs first? They are bunch of ignorant egoistic people who never learn their lesson. They even request LTA to park some of the buses in Bulim and Loyang respectively. Those remaining DAFs can also scrap.Amdep already park almost 78 buses at Yishun, around 28 buses at Lor 1 and now they request to use 110 lots at Loyang.

Then why did they order the E500s in the first place? Should have directly gone in for MANA95s since they already do MANA22s. Could have converted order of A22 to A95 much early on.

True... but then BUDEP should just operate the B9TLs. No need to give the E500s to Bulim. This way those can be saved for SMRT services.
106/189 can operate with B9TLs.
Also temporarily, they can have some parking in Loyang Depot - why not when LTA is managing the show and what LTA needs to consider is people hassle with all the A22s spammed on high loading services.

Agree with you. Some more have so many non-WAB bendies yet do not give services like 187 more bendies, but keep spamming A22s and increase # buses from 24 to 31 buses. Then how do you expect your depots to have space??!?!
187 now operating at frequency of 06-08 mins just because of lack of high capacity buses.

LTA should make a major revamp of the feeder services to upgrade some A22s to DDs and cut some A22s.
As for the extra A22s, they can go to Loyang GCM package for high demand SD services.
However, if they early retire the non-WAB bendies, some services like 962 have no more bendies left. Somemore 962 has been using 858 bendies as a WAB service. 858 then very crowded especially at SEM because no more bendies.
In my opinion, there has been too much A22s deployed. So many services like 167 & 851 need the other kind of WAB buses, which explains why some of them have to shift to A22s even when they worsen the reliability of services. I thought that they should have ordered the MAN A24s at the same time when they ordered the A22s in the first place.

LTA hasn't make up their mind on which operator should operate the SG-plated MAN A95 buses..
And yes. SG5740C onwards are likely to be under BSEP.

Its because of the first offer,After a while MAN produce a RHD custom A39(13.7m to 12m)..If MAN offer those A95 i would think ADL wouldnt stand a chance.

Just buy 100 units first can distribute to SMRTB,TTS & GAS mah..

SMRT is unsure if their control areas is secure after the GCM kicks in..The 40 A24s meant to replace the MK I bendy only..Only for show to public that they have WAB bendies..

Like how?
If there is major feeder revamp, you don't think people will shout and cry. I do feel that for some services there is scope to revamp but won't happen so easily.
SMRT wanted to give bendies to feeders/intra-towns. Slowly converted all bendy services to majority rigids because of its "rigid" behavior to not deploy DDs.
It is so mindless that they just go on adding A22s as they are not able to cope with the loading.

962 will do good with DDs. Also there are too many non-WAB bendies. Not sure can retire all of them yet but some of them definitely.

Ok should register fast. I love the MANA95s. Hope can see more of them on the road.
Q: How many MAN double-decker buses have the authorities procured? Any idea?

From what I am hearing... should be around 50...
I hope it is at least that much!!

Only 50? I do not think so. If there are only 50, then how come bus services like 180 can get the MAN Double Decker buses, and some more around two units of it? I guess the number is at least the same as the number of ADL Enviro 500 buses procured (201). I suppose it is in the range of 400 to 500.

201? or 400 to 500? how about 1000 of these lovely MAN A95s?
on a more serious note, could LTA's purchase of MAN A95s signal a preference of procuring the MAN A95 concept bus over the Enviro500 concept bus? doesn't make sense fleet-wise, to buy MAN A95s instead of E500s, only to buy E500s later on. I stand corrected.

Dont anyhow assume 400-500..In future govt buy three doors version exclusively for feeders and short trunks already. We have already got over 1000 Volvo B9TLs.If tue range is between 100-120 i still can believe...Some people says its 50,a group says its between 70-80 and minority says its 120.

What if LTA buy both models?Since SMRT got 201 units of E500s and 17 units of A95s and a dozen of A22s..Maintenance wise shouldnt be a problem cause Alexander Dennis and MAN got plants and spare parts all over Asia. Its not like theyre buying Iveco,VDL etc.And also there might be a three door single deckers in future.
