Loading on svc 71 @ 7.30am from AMK Ave 3
** assuming starting point **
AMK Ave 3 -- 13 (0/13)
AMK Ave 1 -- 22 (0/9), 32 (0/10), 43 (-1/12), 55 (0/12), 68 (-1/14)
Bishan Road -- 68 (0/0), 69 (-1/2), 17 (-60/8) Bishan MRT. I alighted here
** Pax from AMK Ave 1 prefer 71 to 262 when going southbound to city (CCL/NSL)
** DDs make sense as loading is high towards Bishan in AM and high in PM from Bishan to Mayflower estate, especially when bus picks some pax from AMK Ave 4 towards Bishan, loading can go 80+ pax
** 262 has arrived 05 mins before, and next 262 is after 03 mins.
** Route is simulated, just in case you don't get it **

It's amazing how your estimated 71 loading is higher than 110... I always expected it to be the other way round. Probably because of 71's heavy duplication along AMK Ave 4.
Are you going to do simulation on 137/298/807/860 extension as well?

Wow, seems that you're on a simulation team that's managing way more than just CGA T4 stuff.

Hi mr lemon1974, I think all this simulation has sort of defeated the real objective of this loading thread. It used to be great and it provides people a real life situation of the passengers for certain bus services. But now, it becomes just like works behind computers. Cheers. Thanks.

Can consider creating a new thread for such simulations.

if this is an actual official set of data used by LTA, i can see why their route planning screws up so often... expectations vs reality is so different
trust me, the loading wont be so high considering how the stops along amk ave 1 are struggling to have passengers throughout the day esp around blk 333 needless to say peak hours
Shall we just rename this thread instead? I also notice how bus svcs like 12 & 28 are underestimated with this method
OK. ILL STOP. LETS BRING IT BACK TO ORIGINAL PURPOSE.
If anyone is interested in simulation, pm me!!
thanks for the information
so crazy
Loading observation in Tuas this week:
247 - I observed this service for first time, but AM loading between 7-8am seems very good on 247
192 / 193 - both are now getting some loading in the opposite direction as a feeder from Tuas MRT stations
182 - still observed good 70-80 pax loading on DDs
248 - wasn't able to observe!
Loading for 76 still weekends is rather poor.
off peak weekdays and peak weekends are okay
possible for 76 weekends to be half SD half DD

Haha, should try the CGA stretch and experience for yourself what a fuck up the LTA and SMRT has caused

Has anyone observed 139M's loading after 129's introduction?

Loading on svc 410G @ 17.48 from Bishan Interchange

Sing Ming Rd -- 16 (-7/6)
Upper Thomson Rd -- 21 (-3/8), 20 (-7/6), 23 (-3/6)
Sing Ming Ave -- 22 (-5/4) I alighted here.
* Bus in front = 06 min, bus behind = 06 min.
* Peak loading at first stop = 35 pax.
* Feeder service between Bishan St 12/13 to Bishan MRT (35 pax). Hardly anyone takes from Bishan to Marymount. Again there is unique loading between Marymount MRT and Upper Thomson but not that heavy even though it was prime peak of around 6pm.
* 410G/410W should split into two routes to cater to its own high loading sectors.

* Highest loading: 12 passengers to Tampines St 86, 4 passengers to Tampines Concourse
* Zero boarding and alighting observed from Tampines Ave 8 to Tampines Ave 10, mainly because that area is mostly under construction.
* Zero boarding and alighting observed from Tampines Ave 8 to Tampines Ave 3, probably because that area already has many bus routes; no need for another bus route.
* Zero boarding and alighting observed from Tampines Ave 7 to Tampines Concourse, mainly because that area is relatively undeveloped.
* To improve the loading, the authorities can consider increasing awareness of the route, and connecting the route to Tampines West station at Tampines Ave 4.
* The upcoming developments around Tampines Ave 8 may increase the loading by 50 passengers, assuming every bus stop has 10 passengers boarding or alighting.
* This route may be well-received in future.

Don’t worry too much,Bus routes all under LTA not under operators anymore.
