*Loading is quite good even at Sunday. Upper deck is a quarter full and lower deck all sitting occupied at its peak loading. DD provided commuters with a comfortable ride, if not SD will be packed.
Those who frequent this svc, I think during weekday peak even DD will be fully packed within the Admiralty industrial area??
3/4 or full depends cause 169 freq are pretty good during peak
for morning peak, DD will be Super full even after students alighted

* Bus in front = 12 min.
* Svc 15 in front = 05 min, svc 155 in front = 05 min.
* Bus departing Eunos Interchange left with 04 pax on board (some may board along Sims Ave)
* Surely a loss making service as both weekday/weekend loading hasn't taken up.
I took 150 during PM peak on Monday. The bus was filled to the brim.
And to add context, a 155 just left 5 mins ago.
Originally posted by array88:I was wondering, even before BSEP, did 372's Anchorvale - Punggol Rd sector also have poor loading? Or were the buses also packed to the door?
If the loading is also poor, then this part of the route could have been improved.
Loading is indeed weaker in the east than in the West.. but I always saw the east sector for looping services..
Maybe they can revise where 372 loops back to anchorvale.. Or better still, since gekpohboy is so worried about eastern residents having to sit so long, can just make 372 a townlink so it plies either Sengkang or Compassvale twice..
Hope you guys email LTA regarding that 83 & 85 doesnt need full DD..Weekends svc 3 need more DD..10-13 mins per bus,PGL Field only already filled up
150 towards Marine Terrace spotted at 1856hrs today turning from Sims Ave into Still Rd, about 35+ pax on board with standing.

I guess peak hour weekday demand should be way better??

Firstly, I have to say nice to see you here. Your style on loading analysis is pretty similar to mine. Well drafted.
I have two cents to offer - It would be productive and worthwhile if you did the loading analysis on weekdays AM and PM peak rather than off-peak. You can never judge any service by its off-peak loading.
svc 55 ofcourse on weekdays peak is packed between Bishan and Eunos. Towards Eunos, its loading also depends on if 25/854 is right in front. The Still - Marine Parade - UEC mostly has weak loading.

Then I suggest you do an analysis for 150 during peak too

Thanks for your info, and nice to see u too.
What I'm doing is the analysis of off-peak hour demand, because some services' demand also very good at off-peak. My working hours don't allow me to observe peak hour demands.

After DTL3 opening, services with expected loading increases:
3, 9, 18, 29, 38, 46, 60, 118, 293
(Mainly due to unique/improved DTL3 connection, better than other services)

(Mostly due to duplications with DTL3 sections or loss of priority due to alternative links to DTL from other services)

And so on (feel free to add/correct)

I guess most services at Geylang Bahru area will have loading reductions except 140...
Also, not sure if 60's loading will indeed improve. Its loading is mainly from Bedok Reservoir Rd to Eunos/Bedok stations, and now these residents can simply take DTL and walk, or transfer to other services at Ubi/Bedok North MRT.

Also, I guess your analysis started a bit too early for demand at TPY/Woodleigh to reach the peak. Or there's 100/135 in front from Woodleigh to Upper Aljunied.

Once service 18 is diverted via Tampines Street 32, 33 and 34 as the loading has dramatically been low and it will drop, service 8 must stay within Tampines Avenue 2 and 7 for the fastest link. Anyway, East View Secondary School is about to close down soon so don't have to worry.
Service 23, 65, 67 and EWL (Tanah Merah - City Hall) will sure buang.
Originally posted by array88:155's MacPherson loop does link the entire MacPherson estate to Aljunied MRT, besides 40 (which has poor frequency), although I'm not sure about the demand. Have you observed loading in the opposite direction?

155 does not go to Aljunied MRT. There is 40/63/158 from Macpherson Estate to Aljunied MRT. I think but was in prime PM peak when it was at Woodleigh - not really a timing issue. I think there just aren't enough people on the route.

118 loading already high - not sure it will make a big difference. 293 loading will get evened out between Tampines east and Tampines central. 60 loading is ought to drop and not increase.
I think 5 may not be affected as much as it is point-to-point service. Why 63 loading will be affected? 225 loading may get split with 137. 228 loading should increase on the contrary.

I think his point about 63 is that some of its loading at Ubi Ave 1 will be taken away by 137.

23 should be around the same as passenger do not want to take a big loop via town then to Rochor or Little India and there is student take tat bus service also.

28 will still remain high esp between tai Seng to Bedok and beyond
46 loading may be even lower esp between tamp West - Tampines int cause tat is the main loading and when 298 starts running. Loading will be even lower
59 should be high also. Esp between kaki Bukit -TPY
