Hi mr carbikebus, service 83 only experiences full loading at certain times of the day plus peak hours also certain buses only. During these special timings, SD will be super squeezy if too many people board. But anyway it is for a short distance only. Nowadays Singaporeans are pampered. They don't like the squeezy feeling especially when going to work and back home from work. They feel they pay money so deserve a comfortable ride. Cheers. Thanks.

If like that you say,Svc like 10 would get full DD liao...I seriously say service like 83 & 85 doesn't deserved full DD..50/50 would be ideal.

Hi mr carbikebus, ultimately it depends on LTA and its allocation of type of buses to the 4 transport companies. If Go ahead Singapore has an abundance of DDs, there is definitely no issue in giving DDs to 83/85. In a situation like Singapore, there is never going to be an equal distribution of DDs to all the bus services in Singapore, whether the forumers like it or not. SD = high loading and DD = low or medium loading. Just like in the working world, it is not going to be fair all the time. Cheers. Thanks.

Unfortunately,There is no feeders/townlinks and airport svc code in the EDS.
386 is not DD route also,Haven't tested yet unless you want me to be famous in the local bus industry

Push for testing :)
I think DDs will do well on 386.

386 got total of 7 duties for Am/split duty and 6 Pm/split.Only 84/381/382 will do interlining.
Best is to deploy 4 Citaro and 3 B9TL.
My suggestion for PGL svc will be
Svc 3:13 SD / 7 DD
Svc 34:15 SD & 34M(loop at Ctrl 1 after serve Opp Hub) using 4 DD / 2 SD.
Svc 43:15 DD / 5 SD & 43M 3 DD / 3 SD
Svc 62:16 DD / 4 SD
Svc 82:6 SD / 2 DD(loading increased)
Svc 83:5 DD / 3 SD
Svc 84:Renumbered to 384,3 SD.
Svc 85:11 DD / 3 SD
Svc 118:Full DD,Only weekends a mix of couple SD
Svc 119:Full SD
Svc 136:15 SD / 3 DD
Svc 381:5 SD
Svc 382G/W:6 SD
Svc 386:4 SD / 3 DD
Loading on svc 806 beautiful MAN DD @ 07.42am
Yishun Interchange -- 10 (0/10)
Yishun Central -- 12 (0/2)
Yishun Ave 11 -- 08 (-4/0), 07 (-1/0), 08 (-3/4)
Yishun Ave 6 -- 38 (-4/34), 54 (-1/17)
Yishun St 31 -- 63 (0/9) * there were 27 people on upper deck, 36 people on lower deck
Yishun Ring Road -- 63 (-9/9), 69 (-1/7) 806 bendy overtook, 69 (-2/2)
Yishun Ave 11 -- 75 (-2/8) lot of people chose to board DD though bendy in front. Maybe new experience or they thought DD is empty!!
Yishun Central -- 74 (-1/0)
* Bus in front = 04 min and 00 min after 806 bendy overtook
* Bus behind = 03 min (bendy that overtook this one), 07 min
* Overall good loading and upper deck not too bad as well.
Wow, 806's DD upper deck that many people?
Notice a lot of construction workers love to go upper deck

Lot of people on Ave 6 / st 31 came upper deck. Only 3 people from ring road came upper deck. But overall upper deck was not so bad. Gave more room to those boarding at ring road/ave 11 on lower deck.
Also 806 DDs are new - may take some time for people to get used to it.
Actually 72 on weekends fleet don't need change some DD to SD. Loading quite high on weekends and usually have some leftover crowd at tampines.
27 for downroute trip from Tampines > Hougang Ctrl can consider using DD since there is no DD restriction to it

I have tried many occasions driving SD on svc like 43M,62,83 & 85 and seriously those ppl are very smart.83 SD the most 3-4 standees for a few stops,85 can have 5 SD
yesterday morning got 85 sd. very very pack though.

Packed for 1-2 trips only

In my opinion, 85 still okay with full fleet DD because you have 50-60 pax between Yishun and Sengkang. So gives a comfortable journey even if SD can manage the load.
83 is a BAD case. With only heavy loading along Punggol Central to MRT which is 3-4 stops, SDs are okay. Also with 3, 85 (all along central), 381, 386, 136 in parallel, 83 loading also depends on if it comes first or later.
I would prefer 3 getting more DDs because of the long nature of its route, where people can have comfortable journey on upper deck. 83 can become full fleet SD like in SBS days.

For 83, its not like woodlands/yishun feeders where they need to depart the int with HC buses and DD is redundant. Other than 3, 136 can also get 1-2 DDs, especially AM/PM peak.

3>12 SD / 8 DD
82>6 SD / 2 DD
83>4 DD / 4 SD
85>9 DD / 5 SD
136>16 SD / 2 DD
258 has good loading in AM peak towards Pioneer MRT. DDs have a good 70-80 pax till Pioneer, post which loading is around 50-60 pax. Not bad.
258 runs empty between Boon Lay and JW St 75/81/82 in both AM and PM. I think this is a real waste. They should look at extending 258 to loop @ AYE via Corporation road/Taman Jurong providing a good connectivity between Jurong West and Taman Jurong towns.
Once this is done 178 can be cut short to Jurong East or Bukit Batok given there is 49 and 66 in parallel and 178 often runs empty in this area.
Did you analyse svc 247?Very poor loadings..248 is ok-ok..Still can use 50/50 SD/DD.
