sv 920 @ Bukit Panjang Ring Road at 07.14am
Bukit Panjang Ring Road -- 13 (0/9) ... 9 pax already came from Bangkit.
Fajar Road -- 16 (-1/4), 23 (0/7)
Saujana Road -- 32 (-1/10), 38 (-1/7)
Jelapang Road -- 39 (-1/2)
Senja Link -- 45 (0/6) even though LRT is close, some pax chose to board 920
Senja Road -- 51 (0/6), 66 (-3/18), 64 (-2/0) BC did not open front door. Asked pax to take 972 DD right behind, 69 (-1/6) around 12-15 pax left behind
Bukit Panjang Ring Road -- 68 (-3/2) 2 pax boarded even though one stop to MRT.
* bus in front: 920 - 07 min, bus behind = 04 min, 972 - bus behind = 0 min, 04 min.
* 920 is a good candidate for DDs as many people board at Saujana only alight at BPJ. 972 DDs helping to relieve loading at Senja.
sv 972 @ 07.36 from Bukit Panjang Ring Road
bus in front = 04 min.
Bukit Panjang Ring Road -- 14 (0/3) 11 pax came seated from BPJ road
Senja road -- 21 (0/7), 25 (-1/5), 29 (-1/5), 35 (0/6)
Senja Link -- 39 (-1/5)
Jelapang Road -- 45 (0/6), 48 (-1/4)
Segar Road -- 54 (-2/8), 63 (-3/12) at least 30 pax standing at bus stop in opp. direction
Fajar Road -- 69 (-4/10), 73 (0/4), 79 (-1/7)
Bukit Panjang Ring Road -- 79 (-4/4)
Bukit Panjang Road -- 69 (-20/10) I alighted here.
* Bus in front = 04 min, bus behind = 06 min, 04 min.
* 972 frequency is better than 920/922 feeders and has heavy loading in spite of high frequency.
* Around 20 pax alighted at BPJ road to transfer to other services.
* Peak loading is at ring road and not before BKE
sv 922 from Bangkit Road 08.04am
Bangkit Road -- 06 (0/5), 11 (-1/6)
Bukit Panjang Ring Rod -- 14 (0/3)
Fajar Road -- 16 (0/2), 18 (0/2), 20 (-4/6)
time check: bus in front = 06 min, bus behind = 06 min
Segar Road -- 50 (-2/32), 64 (-1/15) almost all of 922's loading comes from Segar
Jelapang Road -- 66 (-5/7), 70 (-2/6) no pax left behind even though bus packed to door
Bukit Panjang Ring Road -- 71 (-4/5) around 4 pax left behind. Not sure why they don't choose LRT given that most buses by this stop will come packed to door, 69 (-4/2)
Time check 922: bus behind = 03 min, 10 min (+07 min), 920: 06 min, 12 min (+06 min), 972: 07 min, 08 min (+1 min)
* 922 loading is v high as well in spite of many fleet add. Time that SMRT considers DDs on 920/922 as most pax are from Segar for 922 and can go upper deck.
* Frequency of 920, 922 seems to be 05-07 min. Frequency of 972 seems to be 04 min.
All, I saw 11 people board service 386 service plate number 6426S at Punggol plaza Punggol field bus stop at 9.14pm with shopping bags going home (should be edgefield plains end). This shows that the extension to loop 1 round at Punggol field/east/central is beneficial and not redundant. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr sbs6750E, yes you are right. Only left those school children at Punggol field/east/central taking it to horizon primary school in the morning. Cheers. Thanks.
Sv 154 nobody take from Bukit Timah Road (KAP) to Botanic Gardens, is like having a marathon after that.
My suggestion is to go via PIE and go the full stretch of PIE.

It's the same with most services along Bukit Timah road, running empty even during peak hours, barring few exceptions such as 74, 174 and 961.

It will still serve as a transfer point to svc 3, 50, 62, 85 for those Edgedale and Edgefield end residents. By then the occupancy of those BTOs will also be high and no need go interchange everytime to transfer.

Rest assured they wont put full DDs,Maybe add 1 more DD only
whats surprising? Its supposed to be a semi-express service anyway

What timing? Last time I spotted 129 at PIE towards Whompoa and Tampines, both directions buses are empty during peak hours. But the place you observed is different.
What about DDs? Why have you mentioned only Citaros?

I think one off..as there are alternative along some routes..Like 127 case from Concourse to Int where 127 arrive before 969.

i was on 1112S on 129 stuck in the daily jam, saw 1108E opposite packed to front, followed by 1107H 3/4 filled

Jams contributed to that loadings also,Twice i joyride 129 (SD / DD) during peak hours (Am / Pm) and SD was fully seated with no standees and DD lower deck filled up but upper deck still half full..
Punggol is too pampered. I am in Punggol today for work and drove around Punggol Central, Punggol road and Punggol Way to observe morning peak.
(1) None of the svc 83 DDs seemed to have more than 40-45 pax but all were DDs. Spotted 4 of them. Some even seemed to have around 30 pax.
(2) None of svc 43/43M DDs seemed to have more than 30 pax getting out of Punggol. 2 SDs spotted on svc 119 didn't have any standee heading out of Punggol. 1 117 DD spotted with around 40 pax. 2 118 DDs spotted fully seated (around 60-70 pax).
(3) All 382G/W buses had around 10-15 pax
(4) SDs on svc 3 were crowded but not to the door when heading to TPE. 83 had around 30-40 pax on 3 DDs spotted.
(5) At Punggol East heading towards Sengkang, svc 62 had around 50-60 pax, svc 85 had around 25-30 pax, svc 50 had around 40-50 pax.
(6) One svc 82 spotted heading towards Sengkang with around 50 pax.
* Overall AM observations showed, that only svc 3, 50, 62, 82, 118, 386 had moderate to heavy loading in Punggol area. Svc 43, 43M, 83, 85, 117, 119, 382G/W still have low loading in Punggol area (around 10-40 pax).
* Didn't spot any svc 136.
@carbikebus, @dupdup - is the above observation consistent with what you see?

Hi mr busanalyser, it is consistent.
For public transport users in Punggol, good luck to them as the place is quite far flung. So can expect such type of scenarios due to long distance. Most will use MRT as part of the routes whenever possible.
If you were to see around in early morning, both the exit to TPE at Punggol road (jammed till cove LRT at Punggol field) and Punggol east (jammed till Punggol field at Punggol plaza) are jammed with cars. We can tell that many households in Punggol have cars. We can attribute this to the reason that if a couple were to apply for BTOs in Punggol, most of them will have plans to buy cars or already have cars. Why? It is far from central Singapore. Cheers. Thanks.

Hmmm... so maybe it is LTA strategy to lure them with lots of buses, that too DDs... where they can see they will get a place to sit... and may ditch their cars... at least for short distance.
Off peak now svc 83 DDs having less than 10 pax on board.
Don't observed from Int..At least for svc 3,34,43,62,118
