Can you do loading analysis on 83 between 5.30-7.30pm? Choose a DD.

Now even service 3 also seen DDs. Today morning go to work sit DD. Now going back from work also sit DD. Not sure total how many DDs are given to service 3. So coincidental most of the times get to sit DDs or just plain lucky? Cheers. Thanks.
S3 today got 6 DDs
S43 & S62 got 1 SD after 7.45pm done by standby BCs for 1 full trip.
S85 got 1 SD during AM peak just now..
S119 only see 3 DDs so far.

Punggol Centralians are really lucky with 83/85 almost full fleet DD, and sv 3 also many DDs.
How was the loading on your morning and evening DD trip? DD worthy?

Hi mr carbikebus, wonderful. Service 3 got so many DDs finally. As for service 83, I have not seen a SD for so long. Every bus that comes for 83 is a DD. Same goes for 85. Is it full DD for 83 and 85? Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr busanalyser, I took service 3 DD at 8.20am in morning. Not much crowds at all. Most alight at TPE bus stop to switch to other buses. Less than 20 people continue to pasir ris st 71 then become crowded again until many alighted at pasir ris drive 8 just outside pasir ris mrt.
During evening, lots of people boarded service 3 along pasir ris st 21. Massive crowds boarded at stop outside pasir ris mrt. Quite a huge portion alighted at pasir ris st 71. On TPE stop, lots of people boarded service 3 to go to Punggol field 3 stops at cove, meridian, coral edge LRT. After that, some board along Punggol east/central back to mrt/bus interchange.
Still considered DD worthy but no need full fleet DDs. 4-5 DDs for service 3 should be sufficient. If give full DDs, of course I will not mind. Morning peak lower crowd suspected due to another service 3 in front. Route too laggy causing traffic build up and also people flocked to first service 3 due to mindset to take first bus which comes.
Nowadays service 3 has an important role to bring Punggol central/east people to TPE stop to switch to other services. Last time service 3 crowd is much more consistent all the way till pasir ris mrt. Now no more. It becomes sort of spikes at certain sectors then drop and spikes again!
Yes I happen to ask carbikebus same question as your timing. Never see a SD 83 and SD 85 for long time. Cheers. Thanks.

Loading on sv 803 @ 07.40am
Yishun Interchange -- 04
Yishun Ave 9 -- 04
Yishun Ring Road -- 12 (-2/10)
Yishun St 31 -- 28 (0/16) opposite side bus stop had 6-7 pax waiting for 806
Yishun Ave 6 -- 41 (-2/15)
Yishun Ave 9 -- 49 (0/8), 51 (-1/3)
* bus in front = 05m, bus behind = 04m. Seems like frequency is around 05 min
* There are few people who boarded ring road towards Yishun MRT even though 860 takes them in 2 bus stops to interchange. Lazy to cross road?

* KUB was easily able to manage load as it didn't cross 70 pax
* Overall loading was good, consistently above 55-60 pax, dropped significantly after Pasir Ris MRT stop
* DD would have been okay on this slot given most are long distance travellers. Can have DDs moved to sv 39 instead of giving so many to sv 83? Also loading on sv 39 seems higher than sv 85.
Many people rather not cross the road to MRT as you have to enter Northpoint, down to B2 and walk along the underpass for about 10 min, in addition of having to squeeze with the crowd on the escalators and in the underpass. Thats why I rather not cross to the other side

Hi mr busanalyser, doubt LTA will move the DDs from service 83 to 39. They worked on a systematic manner of distributing buses. Once leased to Go Ahead group, they will not change the buses to give back to Sbs transit. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi Mr dupdup,I think so..The last time i see a SD on 83/85 is two weeks ago
If they deployed me to do svc 83 or 85,I will take a Citaro

I know that :-)
Can't stop myself from uttering common sense.

Hi mr carbikebus, so if I happen to see service 83 or 85 Citaro SD, it means the guy is 90% you as long as the guys are not those China drivers? Cheers. Thanks.

* A lot of people taking 258 from JW St 71/61 to Pioneer MRT.
* A lot of people from st 75, 82, 81 came to upper deck and didn't alight at Pioneer MRT, going forward to Joo Koon. Upper deck 40% full.
* The DDs are getting well utilized now and operating at a good frequency of 07-09 mins.

JW St 71 -- 17 (-4/7)
sv 243 SD turned left onto st 81
JW St 81 -- 26 (-1/10), 45 (-3/22) irritating to see that people are cramping into SD when they can see 258 DD right behind
JW St 82 -- 53 (-1/8)
JW St 75 -- 57 (-8/12), 59 (-1/3)
JW St 64 -- 66 (-4/11), 67 (-2/3)
* peak loading = 67 pax with 243 SD right in front
* It is a huge miss to have 258 berth different from 243 towards direction of st 75. DDs leave empty during PM from Boon Lay when in reality have potential to get huge loading and alleviate load on 243.
Anyone can observe the trip of 103 6.50am from sgoon int/7.20am at seletar camp g? was told that its always packed by yck rd and fly stops from greenwich to seletar a'space, around 50+ ppl cannot board

Just now,My friend drive Citaro for Svc 85..Svc 3 no need majority of half fleet DDs,Their frequencies is super good even for off peak at 7-9 mins.

If 83, 85 and 119 can further reduce DDs (but not too many for 85), then GA can get rid of the 33xx DDs. BCs can also not have to drive such a big DD bus with engine (or gear, I don't know) over-restricted.
43M can cut 1 bus.

85 can have 70% DD already more than enough. 11 DD, 4-5 SD is already very good compared to SBST.
SBST deployed 216 SDs and 101-102 DDs excluding spare on Loyang package routes. GA deployed at least 160 DDs.
On the other hand, SBST deployed 216 SDs but GA only has 201 SDs.
If 3 has good frequency (<10 mins) and good number of DDs (40%), 83 can go back to full SD like SBST times, given that they duplicate each other like crazy, and there isn't enough demand from Sengkang side alone to warrant DDs.
3 or 83 DDs must never trail <5 mins behind another 3 or 83 bus.

43M cannot cut buses but can reduce the number of DDs..Good or not,GA will have to take the buses.
