BC activate two door boarding throughout the whole journey. Bus was packed by the time it left Lot One bus stop, and only a few passengers managed to board the bus from the rear door at the first CCK Ave 1 bus stop. It skipped the 2nd bus stop and as there are people alighting at the 3rd bus stop, a few pax managed to board from the rear door again at that stop... Bus again skipped the stop at Sunshine place onwards until HTA...
Bus have no loading problems after HTA though it was roughly 3/4 full throughout the whole journey.
IIRC both front and back bus are bendies and frequency is 8 mins at that time..
Interesting thing to note is that along the route that duplicates with 308, there are no alighting activities, which was common for 172 when there was no 308 last time.. so i guess those going to those few stops took the 308 behind (trailing behind SMB87K).. so indeed 308 has helped to relieve the crowd for 172 at least for AM peak...
What is HTA?

49 – is thr even a demand? so many dds deployed. mayb if got a small bit of demand can put 1 dd liddat. other than that i thik this svc is not v useful.
189 – needs 3-5 dds, sd pack to door drg peak hrs n sch dismissal hrs. even an off peak demand csn fill tje bus to 3/4
333 – doing fine, better freq?
334 – can cut 1-2DDs, too many liao
49 - Depends where you see. The route between Corporation and Jurong East has 20-30 pax during peak hours (the route extension was not well planned). But 49 DDs between Corporation and Lakeside MRT and Lakeside to st 41/42 are well utilized.
189 - Agree that needs more DDs as there is mass departure in industrial estate during peak hours. But other timings, 189 does well with SDs. Hence, maybe fleet is okay with 189A.
333 - Doing okay. In fact, most buses depart JE with <10 pax on board. One of the least utilized feeder buses. Historical so will stay.
334 - No it needs its 11 DDs. Each bus during peak hours gets 80-90 pax. Earler when operating with 9 DDs, each bus during peak would depart with +100 pax.

Coz some people are disagreeing with me that 854 need full fleet DDs whereas i believe 851,855 and some others AMDEP svc deserved its fair of share also.I know 854 loads from YCK to Yishun and vice versa. After that idk liao coz it literally parallels 70 and 25 and a number of other routes along the wayI still disagree that 854 needs full fleet DDs like 972. Tht is my stand.Busanal, Cbb what do ya think?
Your message above is confusing.
Do you want full fleet DDs for 854 or not?
IMO there are way too many buses sometimes at 04 mins interval. Not necessary for a trunk service that long to have so many buses at such high frequency if more HC buses are deployed. Also we need to consider that it is not comfortable for people to stand for such long distance.
Many times rigids have very low alighting between Eunos and YCK Road as there is usually a 25, 51 or 55 that has taken those short travel people. 854 will mostly be taken by those going to YCK road and Yishun and have to stand long distance.
Hence, I am supportive of a majority DD/bendy fleet at 07-08 mins frequency instead of 04-06 mins.

7 of their DDs went to Tower Transit.
another 9 gone to TT today
Give TT the remaining BSEP better la..How many TT service need Enviro ah?
I think GA stop liao,Hgdep and Bndep will transfer total of 277 buses from 27/8,3/9 and 17/9
more 190 bendies recently.. 100% confirm some 190 DDs go to 972
Best and worst way that LTA can force GA to take DDs:
Don't give them any Wrights. Just let them fail quota unless they take E500s.
Then throw them out and LTA take over operations if they refuse.

Right now they just wait for another 277 buses from Hgdep and Bndep respectively and the chances of LTA forcing them to take either A95 or Enviro500 is very very slim..They love Wrights even though have to repair faulty gearboxes,Leaking engine or faulty brakes..Nevermind let them be.Who knows LTA let them trial other models in future?

Be prepared to see S190 get B9TLs and even A95s.

Hi mr carbikebus, yes need to change schedule badly. 20 people wait at Punggol central last bus stop (Blk 162B) for 3/83/85 towards Punggol MRT direction in afternoon. Take 16 min for 1 bus to come. No more 'the 1 bus every few min' that we have been having for years like Sbs transit. Lucky we still have Riveria LRT in both directions for this part of the estate! Cheers. Thanks.

The problem with Ang Mohs,Too proud and too stubborn
No need to wait for other buses just drive our own bus better..I reach int on time but have to wait 20 mins for other bus that i need to drive
Originally posted by carbikebus:The problem with Ang Mohs,Too proud and too stubborn
Hi mr carbikebus, think need another new bus service to travel Punggol central/east besides 3/83/85 to fill up the vacuum of the time lag between the services coming to Punggol central if things do not improve. 3 services is definitely not enough looking at the situation here. Cheers. Thanks.
