same for 265 with so many SDs added through BSEP, dont think DDs are needed already.
only 1 DD sia not enough
103 has too many places with high loading during peak hours (Seletar A'space, NEX etc) which causes buses to be 100% full often and makes passengers unable to board occassionally (especially PM peak from NEX, the bus is packed to the brim and still have ppl left in the queue)

So what's the reason 103 hasn't got more DDs? Haven't you tried influencing? :)
My sense is 117 splits the load at SAP, hence they havent done SD->DD. And between NEX and YCK road, you have 43/M, 70, 109, 116. That's what I can think of.

117 isn't helping much either as most of the load to and fro SAP are from 103 sectors and not really to Seletar Camp G during PM peak... 117 only helps with AM peak from Seletar Camp into West Camp. This is probably due to absence of shuttle services in AM peak where there are shuttles from Seletar A'space in PM peak to Bedok, Tampines etc

Does Service 15 have route restrictions that prevent DDs?
Originally posted by SBS3004X:Does Service 15 have route restrictions that prevent DDs?
Telok Kurau, Joo Chiat Place maybe
Originally posted by SBS3004X:Does Service 15 have route restrictions that prevent DDs?
Yes Tehlok Karau. 15 could have skipped Tehlok Karau and had DDs if 150 was planned properly to loop at Parkway Parade.

Where is Tehlok Karau?Near TehPeng Katai?

The turn from Tehlok Karau towards Parkway East Hospital.
Originally posted by BusAnalayzer:Thanks. It is really the same case for 240, 242, 243G/W, 333, 335. 241 and 334 is a bit different. They haven't spammed many buses on these services but maintained full fleet DD which is right thing to do. The same should have been done with 240, 243, 291, 293 instead of spamming so many buses, clogging interchange, roads, wasting fuel and BC resources.
I think feeders with high loading should follow what they did for 241, it is the first feeder to get a full AC/WAB DD fleet in 2014-15 with the upper deck of DDs being well utilized during both peak and off-peak despite being a short route
243G/W is a very good example of spamming too many SDs, even 242 is spammed with way too many buses to the point where 242 tends to bunch at the looping point
241's loading is what I think is one of the highest among feeders where AM off-peak buses towards Pioneer MRT can hit over 40-50 pax at times (before 1-2pm which is the after school hours)

Nope to full AC. But the thing is SBS should have downgraded service 17, 18, 22, 30, 60, 97 and 143 to partial A/C fleet from 2003. They will use VO2X until it retires.

Yes 241 and 334 have been managed v well.
The same depots have screwed up 240, 242, 243 with too many buses. In fact, even 333 has so many buses when on an average, the bus leaves the interchange with <20 pax during peak hours.
Same case with all other feeders. Just go on spamming with more buses.

Loading on sv 282 @ 18.20 hours from Clementi Interchange
+07m
Clementi Interchange -- 44 (0/44)
Clementi Ave 5 -- 28 (-20/4) half the bus alighted at first stop from interchange
Clementi Ave 2 -- 25 (-5/2), 28 (0/3)
Clementi St 2 -- 18 (-15/3), 13 (-10/5), 13 (-3/3)
West Coast Road -- 22 (-5/14)
Clementi Ave 2 -- 22 (-3/3), 21 (-4/3)
Clementi Ave 5 -- 31 (-5/15)
* Peak loading in both directions is between Clementi Interchange & Clementi Ave 5 (alternate bus service: 07)
* Loading towards Clementi St 2 is on lower side. People prefer 201 I guess because of longer travel time, thought 282 frequency will be way better than 201. So not sure!?!?!
Loading on sv 284 @ 19.10
+06m
Clementi Interchange -- 44 (0/44)
Interestingly both 282 and 284 got 44 pax from interchange when I took :)
Clementi Ave 4 -- 21 (-23/0), 11 (-21/11), 17 (0/6)
A little late bus some loadings at Serangoon Interchange on Fri 08th from 630-730pm
109
6:39 - 5311H - 78pax (operated as 109A) +09m, preceding bus SD
6:50 - 5082U - 127pax (amazing to see DD squeeze in 127 pax. Really rare + queue has a few remaining who did not board) + 11m (109A), +20-23m (109).. mentioned 23 min because bus departed berth only at 6:53 due to over-crowding.
6:56 - 5176G - 42 pax (I think starter asked BC to bring bus before time since bus in front was packed to brim. Sure both buses will bunch at YCK road and go back-to-back all the way to Changi Village) +03m
7:06 - 3139R - 66 pax (operated as 109A) +10m
7:13 - 8615A - 57 pax (SD) +07m
7:23 - 3157M - 71 pax +10m
7:32 - 5311H - 69 pax (operated as 109A. Bus returns back after 53m.) +09m
* At 10 mins frequency, every departing 109/109A has DD worthy loading
* Spotted 5/6 DDs on sv 109 from 630-730pm. I think the other DD must be leaving around 620pm from NEX.
* 109 frequency to Changi Village can be quite terrible after 630pm when 109A kicks in. There will be periods when there won't be a 109 bus towards CVT for 20-25 mins duration.
103 - there could be some errors in rego num.
6:33 - 6758E - 51pax (looking at the trend, I assume previous bus would be 6:23)
6:42 - 8698K - 46pax +09m
6:52 - 3110Y - 55paz (DD slot) +10m.
7:10 - 6790P - 58pax (the frequency of 103 drops after 7pm) + 18m
7:30 - xxxx - 59 pax (could not note the rego as I went to see 5311H on 109A) + 20m
* Frequency of 103 is at 10m, but drops sharply after 7pm. I believe this is because by then the loading at SAP dies down and those along YCK road are expected to take 43/43M/70
* Loading per bus departing NEX is quite decent at 50+ pax. I have a feeling these would be dedicated patronage along Jalan Kayu HDBs/dorms. Those alighting at YCK road would be in minority given that there is 43/43M/70 and some downroutes on 70 from NEX bus stop at better frequency.
* There should be few more people boarding at Serangoon MRT stop along Upper Serangoon Road, taking the loading to 65-70 pax on each bus.
* 103 for sure can try some more DDs.
101
Had 3 DDs operating on Friday.
1st: 3720L (6:41pm), 2nd: 3258E (7:01), 3rd: 3259C (7:16)
Sequence was: SD -> DD -> SD -> DD -> SD -> DD
Each departing bus took 36-45pax at interchange.
Is it regular for 103 to get 3 DDs or just an anomoly?
103 can have 3 split shift DDs.
