1. Fancy a trip down memory lane, a chance to drive a bus simulator and experience the future of the Singapore Public Bus Industry? The Past, Present and Future of the Singapore Public Bus industry will come together at the inaugural Bus Carnival.
2. This year is the beginning of a brand new chapter for the Singapore public bus industry, as we will be transiting to a new contracting model. With bus contracting, the Government will be able to respond more expeditiously to commuters’ needs and changes in ridership. Commuters can expect more reliable services, shorter waiting times and more comfortable rides. The Singapore Bus carnival celebrates this milestone by giving the public a glimpse into the illustrious past of the industry and a peek into what’s to come.
3. The public can catch all the action over three weekends (Friday to Sundays) from 11 March to 3 April 2016[1]. The details are:
Bus Carnival @ Ngee Ann City, Civic Plaza : 11 – 13 March 2016 (Fri – Sun)
Bus Carnival @ VivoCity, Outdoor Plaza : 25 – 27 March 2016 (Fri – Sun)
Bus Carnival @ Toa Payoh, HDB Hub : 1 – 3 April 2016 (Fri – Sun)
4. The festivities will be divided into three zones – Past, Present and Future – and games and fun-filled activities await the whole family. Visitors can look out for updates on activities and performances on our social media channels - Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/WeKeepYourWorldMoving, Instagram:@LTAsg and Twitter : LTAsg

5. Step back in time as you head into the Past Zone. From bus models that chronicle the evolution of the public buses in Singapore to artefacts of the yesteryear such as bus tickets and bus guides, the past zone will take you back in time to experience and learn how our bus infrastructure has changed. Members of the public can also try their hands at folding bus tickets into heart-shaped origamis, a popular past time during bus rides. Red for high-capacity buses, green for standard-capacity buses. Win-win.
Buses on static display are known to be:
SG1098A (SBS Transit Mercedes-Benz Citaro)
Green MAN A95 with special bodywork (Concept bus?)
Red wrapped SMRT-spec MAN A95
SBS6076T (1967 Nissan Diesel bus)
Another double-decker (Concept Bus?) that resembles an ADL E500MMC
NB4L LT665
Both buses will be shown in the limelight while at the opening ceremony on 11th March, 12pm.
Both will be completely covered with black cloth, so good luck going there anytime before 11th March

Haha,No wonder look a bit narrow in width compared to the A95,2 or 3 doors may i ask?Its good that LTA order the A95 and E500 instead of all B9TL Wrights only.

I believe that the bus on the left is the Enviro... The one in green wrapper should be the MAN bus bah...
Haiyah, they should have preserved the Leyland Olympian and the Volvo Olympian 2-Axle & 3 - Axle buses also for showcase..
Can someone rich like really preserved and maintain the buses for such events in the future or something...
that one that 2656X shows a facelift-ed E500
the A95 had a front that stands out from the E500s and Wrights

STC609 wasn't preserved.
There was another bus which was showcased back in a bus fair in 2002 but was subsequently scrapped because they had nowhere else to store the bus.
Also, the left is the facelifted A95 wrapped in white, while the one in the right which has a green wrapper is the facelifted E500 with 3 doors.
A sneak peek inside the concept ADL for you guys

Can use for trunks also but if LTA decided to buy a few hundreds then it will suit feeders and short trunks well.
