Unsure.
I rode a citaro that cameoed on Sv 113 today. Wont reveal license plate in order not to spoil market.
Broken speed limiter and broken automatic braking system. BC was skillful as he still turned smoothly even at around 45km/h. Even though was risky but exciting.
BC was speeding at around 70km/h throughout and he managed to drive the bus even though the front and back doors are not fully closed. Once the passenger's foot has left/boarded the bus he drives off.
Hougang Central - Lorong Ah Soo in around 18minutes.
There is always an exception,Most EB/WT buses also can break the speed limit.

Mostly broken speed limiters are unintentional. Would be good for these buses to be used on Airport and Express services
SBS3120T was with 243 route details while on 199 yesterday during AM peak (Trip where it reaches Blk 2 (BS27219) around 825am...
Meter stuck at 5.1km all the way...
SG1700U (979AP03) spotted parking at the roadside just before Bukit Panjang LRT station after letting pax off the bus at BP MRT bus stop... BC spotted walking to up and down of the bus...at that time bus has no more pax so it will not have to stop at Blk 183 bus stop... but are they allowed to stop midway? too early?
Spotted: 0815hrs

That's the last stop for Service 979 terminating at Bukit Panjang...
I think the service should have a "T" plate stating as terminating or (Terminating at Bukit Panjang) aft the service do the Yew Tee side...
I was at Woodlands Temp Int...
Observation:
1) Bus parking... What a mess.... Should have done it this way....
| | | | | | | | \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \
| | | | | | | |
| | (Bendy parking) \ \ (Rigid/DDs parking)
2) 70 passengers queue then deploy DDs ah... I wonder how they going to do that...

Those are not broken speed limiter unlike the good old buses of yesteryear,But more of a finetune by computer to the ECU to make it past the 60kmh barrier.A few of SMRT Citaros also can exceed the 60kmh limit but cant past 70kmh.

Nope..at that time and location, that 979 has not reached last stop. The official last stop is at Blk 183 along Bukit Panjang Road...but i kind of agree it is rather messy if one is not a BukitPanjang/CCK/YewTee resident...
The last stop is NOT bukit panjang MRT stop...

wasted one month lifespan.....should have repainted before registering..

High chance that those 9 Citaro buses are under WLDEP, as I heard that those 9 buses are meant for additional deployments to SMRT services that ply TWRI.. Hopefully all 9 are for the Feeder and Intra-Town services..
By the way, all of the badges have been placed back. The rear stickers (Give way to buses, Bus lane operating hours, etc) have been changed to SMRT ones.. The rear door announcement has been replaced with the standard "Doors are closing lalalalala"..
So far no changes for the interior..

As SG5740C, it might be somehow similar to the 13 earlier units (SMB5892U - SMB5904U) BUT without tree guards..
TIB832Z 's front EDS has been corrupted ever since it appeared on 960 last Sunday..
Hopefully WLDEP will not change out the EDS to Mobitec..
Something weird happened...
SMB92U (172AM06) spotted exiting KJE and turn right into Brickland Road with pax and 172 EDS on!! Bus able to do downroute with pax onboard?
Bus later on bunched with both TIB705H and SG1705G which had already bunched since the Lot One stop...
Time spotted exiting KJE: 0923hrs...
nowadays alot of SBS Transit citaros can easily move off without closing the front and exit doors. Not sure about their speed limiters.
You can try a few of svc 15 Citaros..Those previous batch usually can speed after their warranty ends..For me i dont mind if the speedo stuck at 63kmh as long the acceleration is finetuned for better pick up speed..When your bus have good acceleration you have no worries about exiting bus bays..
what
Svc 920 and 922 buses spotted with paper stating that last bus will be extended to 1am...
