Taking a leaf out of their Sydney operations:
Yes, the same motto was already there for years.
SMRT seem to be stricter about 302 frequency
Today saw total two SMRT staff each at Blk 560 (stop bef yew tee stn) and Blk 670
Boarded 3117M on 302 at cck int, bus was very early, came about 2 min after 3163D , BC kept checking his timesheet.. until bunched with 3163D at Blk 560. The staff told BC to wait and kept talking with him for 4 min until 4.30pm. In between got one old lady shout "can you stop delaying our time?"BC speaks chinese, i think he didnt understand
anyway, staff at Blk 670 also told BC to wait, but not that long
SMRT desperate alr?

I think LTA might already need to produce some commercials on this BSRF? Provided their budget...

Both are bus stops right before the checkpoints, whereby BCs have to print inspector tickets and submit to office at the end of their shift... but then most of the BCs dun do that now..since most of the old machines are not even working...
The checkpoints are:
-CCK INT (0.0km)
-YEW TEE MRT (2.6km)
-Opp Blk 666 (4.0km)
-Bet Blks 306/307 (7.0km)

what are the checkpoints for?

BSRF.
Under this scheme, checkpoints in Transperth parlance act like "timed stops":
"For example, I catch the bus every morning. It's supposed to pick me up at 7:01am but it always comes at 6:56-6:58am, because there's not much traffic at that time of the morning.
We zoom down the road and providing nobody gets on the bus (or it only has to stop once or twice), the bus ends up becoming another 1 or 2 minutes earlier than it should be.
Then when we get to a timed stop 5 minutes early, the bus stops and waits there to use up all that extra time, which means the bus should run on time for the next block of stops in between there and the next timed stop."
This is practiced by TT Perth. Timed stops are published in printed timetables, so passengers know the buses will arrive at these fixed times:
BCM/GCM operators intend to adopt the same practice:
"The driver announces over the intercom: "Ladies and gentlemen, the bus will be held at this stop for two minutes to regulate the service."
This London scenario may soon become commonplace for bus users in Singapore."
If LTA is penalizing the operator for buses arriving too early at a timed stop, then you get situations (as mentioned on Route 302 above) where the operator make the de-facto "timed stop" one stop before the actual stop and wait out the excess time, so that it appears on-time to LTA when it heads to the actual checkpoint.
Journey times are going to get longer. The real problem comes when bus operators plan their schedules too loosely. If for example a bus arrives 15 minutes early at a checkpoint along Route 143, this old practice may not be so bad after all...
If the operator requires the driver to switch off the engine (which is the law), I am sure some passengers are eventually going to ask "why do buses now breakdown as often as the MRT at bus stops?"

so later hold up all the other bus services at the bus stops...
imagine few buses of the same service are all early and all hold up at bus stops? not pratical in singapore, esp those city routes.. those feeder routes with bus stops of only 1-2 services might be able to do so (hold up buses),
most likely they will tell the BCs to drive slower...crawling pace...

yes! for SMRT and LTA to check against the schedule if they are too early, on time or too late... these are also the points that are on the 302 timesheet.. but then i have seen some BC play cheat by only printing the tickets at the correct time even though they may have passed by the stop ie. Adjust the meter back to say 2.6km to print the ticket when in actual fact they already at Blk 619 bus stop (3.1km), then adjust back to 3.1km again

I see, thanks for the info.. but what are the staff at the bus stops for?

The consequences of:
1. Road hogging: Fine by TP. Waste extra diesel and extra wear and tear on buses for consistently running on low gear. Will impact on operator profit as these extra costs will not be borne by LTA.
2. Arriving early at "timed stops": Fine by LTA under BSRF. Under GCM/BCM, payment to operator may also be docked for breach of contract standards. Will impact on operator profit.
3. "Holding up": "right thing" (acceptable), international practice. Driver can explain to passengers. May anger the incumbent operators for reasons above, but there is no need to work with other operators. Operator profit may increase due to reward from LTA for improved BSRF performance.
and it's not hard to explain the above observations on Route 302.
Printing tickets will not work under GCM/BCM.

To ensure BSRF compliance.

which also means to ensure in real life the buses in BSRF bus services are actually following the schedule, since printing tickets as evidence can be cheated and it does not reflect the actual scenario
1) 6372 on 66 without the 2 "thank you for travelling with sbst" sticker
2)3028 on 941 left with "thank you for travelling". "With smrt" wording has removed.
So both is ready for TT haha
I believe more buses are like that

SMB3012G too
now
"This train has stopped here for a short while because the train ahead is still at the next station."
in future?
"This bus has stopped here for a short while because the bus ahead is still at the next stop."
SMB3008U announcement:"k-you for travelling with SMRT Bus Service"
SMB128B seat cover vandalised
LTA should constantly check timings on certain bus stops and int to ensure schdule reliability rather than hold up buses at bus stops unless the bus stops is like the TPE type..The losing side is always the BCs.
SMB3039E on 173PM02 today, ran on the wrong route at around 855pm when going towards Clementi.. missed the left turn into BB Street 21.. bus went on straight but BC realised on his own.. made an U-turn at junction of BB East Ave 6 and BB Street 23...

It is spelled 'pamphlet'. The TT guys spelled it wrongly.
Service 177's first bus during the peak hours were brought forward after the takeover by Tower Transit:
