Marine Parade Station was just opposite Parkway Parade as well as the Marine Parade neighbourhood. The diversion (as per what you referred to), regardless of where it goes, would effectively mean that the crucial bus stops opposite/before Parkway Parade would be skipped. In my view, it would not be a practical option to divert them away from Parkway Parade simply because it would cause inconvenience to passengers.
The diversion would also cause the loops of services 15, 47 and 966 to become redundant (in fact, it is impossible to amend 47 for the purpose of diversion since it cannot ply the temporarily closed Joo Chiat Road). Put simply, there is no other better routings for these three services other than to remain in their current state. Therefore, I personally do not think that the services would be amended to skip Parkway Parade area.
I think he's merely asking whether other services will temporarily skip Parkway Parade bus stop for TEL construction...

Probably, but I had also answered this 'rephrased' question; that this could not be the case due to inconvenience...

Should extend 35M to loop at CNB since now 35 will stop outside CNB. Otherwise, must rely on unreliable shuttle bus or cab in after 35 stop operating

Thats strange, why thou? Not under BCM wad, and which depot control? Would this affect anything? Reminds me of the premium buses, but this is a rly odd news

The contract for the previous operators to operate these services have expired...but some senior enthusiasts and I were not surprised that PTOs would operate this service; the fares for City Direct services is based after that of the Express and Fast Forward services. And it seems that the demand for 653 is too high that DDs are needed.

Its the fact that PTOs are operating that makes it odd to me
So 653 use what type of vehicles? Don't tell me SG plate A95?
They can use the B9TL also..

The transfer of City Direct bus routes to SBS and SMRT could mean that next time, City Direct bus routes may merge with Express bus routes.

So they will get KUBs? if so this may be good news.
Unfortunately, the transfer also means we would no longer get to ride city direct bus services on private coach, which are more comfortable.
