We are now at the end of year 2015.
Christmas is coming, tomorrow.
It has been a very good year.
Every one of us have put in so much time and effort to this forum.
This Christmas, let us show appreciation and gratitude to one another.
Let us write THANK YOU messages to one another, either in this thread or through private messages, to show our appreciation and gratitude for one another, for the contributions made this year. (even a simple "Thank You" would mean a lot)
Let us also take this moment to thank the people who drive our buses, maintain our buses, manage bus operations, ensure adherence to schedules, etcetera. While this thread may not be the right place to do so, a good way to thank them is to appreciate what they are doing and not disturb them, so that they can continue to do their job well.

Recession has begun. Has anyone noticed?

Thankfully, jobs in the public bus services industry is as good as Metal Rice Bowls. :)
Overheard a Sv 35 BC, a malaysian national, saying that his scheduled OT driving hours and days are cancelled.
As long SBST does not cut pays and retrench drivers, i guess this is a pretty good move.

You're welcome.
Happy belated Yuletide.
What if, this year is as good as it gets for SGforums bus forums?
I observe that this forum is not the same as last time. There is a lack of "renewal". Gradually, as the "old guards" leave and there is smaller variety of bus models, discussions become less interactive and less active.
I also feel that the Facebook pages are becoming less interesting now. Maybe it's because there's nothing much left to write about already, that's why.
There may come a day when all of us here decide to stop following buses, as we may lose interest in buses.
After all, a bus is just a vehicle that brings you from point A to point B. Someday, we may find it stupid to be obsessed with buses (and trains) and decide to stop. By then, we may also feel regretful for wasting so much time on observing buses, yet the lost time cannot be recovered...
A few years from now, maybe nobody will be talking about buses anymore, but instead dealing with other things which are important in life.

Hi mr jurongresident, the chances of it happening is zero. On the contray, I think it is going to get more and more vigorous with new youngsters on the board. Moreover, there are going to be more BSEP services to reach the target of 80 new bus routes. There are going to be more depots being built and packages being reserved for Sbs and Smrt. There are going to be spillovers from the downtown line 3 to be opened in yr 2017 and also the soon-to-be-opened downtown line 2 to be opened on 27 dec 2015. This will inadvertently affect bus loadings around affected areas. Week by week, month by month, some events will surely make it more interesting. Cheers. Thanks.
