Okay, we have been together for quite some time now.
I am thinking of having an Amazing Race event, for all public transport (bus & train) enthusiasts to have fun.
I think the time has come for us to leave our computer/handphone screen and meet, and have fun.
But, didn't anyone tell us before not to talk to strangers, or meet anyone you only know online? That's why I'm thinking of two possibilities.
Possibility one: we meet and play "Amazing Race", like the one hosted by SGtrains a few years ago, and the one you see on television. The prize can be some NTUC vouchers or some Popular Bookstore vouchers.
Possibility two: we have the organizing team ask questions, while the players answer and accumulate points. The organising team ask questions in this thread. To answer the questions, the player has to go out and find the answer, and come back to this thread to write the answer. The prize can be a free upgrade of the winner's SGforums account to premium.
Meanwhile, do indicate your interest by writing your username in the following template, in your reply, and pass it on (similar to WhatsApp poll)~
If you are playing, do also indicate which month in 2016 you are most free to play.

eh. nobody wanna play ah?
Some points for consideration:
1. Who is going to sponsor the prizes? You? If it's some cheap prizes I don't think people would even bother joining.
2. How do we prevent cheating cases? Get someone to follow each team around as different teams might take different routes? And what if everyone follows the same route and the results end up the same?
3. Who would be the people making up your organizing team?
4. In an amazing race, different groups might complete the tasks in a different order. So it wouldn't really be fair for posting answers on this thread like what possibility 2 suggested.
5. Lastly (most important point), in the event of any mishaps, injuries etc that happen during the event, who would assume responsibility?
As you see, hosting such events is not as simple as you think, that is why such events aren't common. Also most of the people on this forum have already moved elsewhere and the remaining people here most probably won't bother joining such events.
