Should count 110 and 247 instead. (as 247 is quite a new route catering to new areas in Tuas).

LTA, SMRT should take the blame
It is strange to read the excuses that the Land Transport Authority (LTA) has been giving for the shutdowns of our train system.
First, it was the signalling system's fault. Then, it was the track's fault.
With Saturday's flooding of the tunnel, resulting in a major shutdown of the North-South Line, it was the rain and water-pumping system's fault (NSL services disrupted by water in tunnel; Oct 8).
When the SMRT management team was first appointed, I was full of hope and support for them.
Surely, if there was anyone who could do the job, a group of army generals with experience in running a most efficient fighting force should be able to do it. But I have been sorely disappointed and disillusioned.

As part of the five-year $1.1 billion Bus Service Enhancement Programme (BSEP) introduced in 2012, a new Service 71 will begin operations on Saturday, 9 December 2017. With this, all 80 new bus services under the BSEP would have been launched.
Service 71 will ply between Yio Chu Kang Bus Interchange and loop around Bishan Street 11 via Yio Chu Kang Road, Ang Mo Kio Avenue 4, 3 and 1, Bishan Road and Braddell Road. It will enhance connectivity from Yio Chu Kang Road to Yio Chu Kang MRT Station, as well as from Bishan Street 11 to Bishan MRT Station. It will also provide direct connectivity from Ang Mo Kio Avenue 1, 3 and 4 to Bishan MRT Station. The service will operate daily (including public holidays) from 6.00am to 11.30pm. The Annex provides more details of the route and bus stops which Service 71 will be calling at.
Annex: Details of Service 71 route and bus stops
LTA should release the other man a95 DDs for svc 174, 179, 181, 182, 192 & 193 in SLBP especially svc 174 because that service in the morning n evening (AM/PM) is pack on mondays n sundays. Should the LTA decided whether the other man a95 not only in svc 71, 76 & 151 and also in BBDEP svc 74 n 198. Thanks.
Discussion: What would it be like if BSEP and/or BCM never happened?
Any services that wouldn't have been introduced at all? Or any services that would still be in place even without BSEP?
Any services that wouldn't have gotten capacity upgrades like they do right now?
LTA shoud look into 71 service to extend it to toa payoh lor 8

If BSEP never happened:
1. Tampines Concourse/Compassvale Bus Interchange and CBP Bus terminal would not have been built.
2. Punggol will not have any feeders, and will have half the services it has today, so the interchange expansion would not have happened.
3. Certain areas will have limited/poor bus connectivity (Punggol, Sengkang West, Keat Hong, Changi Biz Park, St. Wilfred estate etc)
4. Fleet size of the operators will overall be smaller (much fewer Wrights, Citaros, A22s and Enviros on the roads)
and much more.....
Interestingly Pasir Ris is the only new town I can think of that did not get any new BSEP services, 358P and 359P does not count since they were withdrawn...
As for the individual BSEP services, personally I think the worst BSEP service in terms of popularity is 122 or maybe 141, while the best will be 50, 118, 860 (before 807) or 972...

Interesting that 68 is still undecided to start from depot or Pasir Ris

141 has some good demand on weekdays off peak sometimes

I think you missed 127 for the worst...

Even if BSEP had not happened, there would still be some route modifications and new services introduced such as Punggol feeders, Sengkang feeders. Yes, there wouldn't be 80 new services but I predict there would still be around 20 new services to cater to new town expansions that didnt have a connection before.
In the worst service, I would say 46, 122 are poorly planned. 127 should potentially extend to Compassvale to make it more effective. Like 883, I believe 127 will have better loading in future with further development of industrial estate and Tampines North town.
SMB8001E to SMB8015R[FOR SBST, CONFIRMED]
129 also should extend to punggol interchange instead of terminated at tampines interchange. so is 127. 141 is ok for the time. maybe the Thomson-East Coast Line when operating most of the bus services will affected. 162,851,105,143,57,56,135,31,137,155,16,36,55......

105, 143? I dun see how they can be affected badly... maybe by a bit uh, since they arent running very parallel to TEL
Maybe consider 167 and 980 also. They ply along Upp Thomson Rd and Thomson Rd, much parallel along where TEL ply

4 and 20 are quite decent too.
46, 883, 944 should have been introduced way later when they were really necessary.
973 and 990's demand still haven't caught up.

I know this may not likely happen, but I'm actually rooting for 973 to be extended to Jurong East by merging with 41 along Jalan Anak Bukit Can complement 176 from Bukit Panjang and Jurong East.

That would cause quite some duplication with 173 though.
I think merging 41 with split 171 (thus creating a Yishun -- Jurong East route) may be a considerable alternative, if it's possible ... otherwise just letting 171 run express from Jln Anak Bukit to Toh Guan Rd also can ...
Hear that the LTA is going to chop some of the bus service route and introduce some new bus service route. LTA is study time to come

Yes, correct since SEDEP only maximize 10 bendies in its depot. So SMB8001E > SMB8015R is false.
