129 - the route damn unique. could have been just TPY to Jln Tentaram, but extending it to Tampines is a good idea. Can benefit Temasek Poly students living in Toa Payoh. :)
127 - Route very similar to 72. Obviously for the upcoming Wafer labs. Loading will be similar to 256 - cui.
Hi mr gekpohboy, 127 also need to connect tampines ave 9 to tampines concourse. Currently no service connects it. So no choice. Sometimes it is not always about the loading. Direct connection is a must. Cheers. Thanks.
BSEP still got around seven new routes haven't announce... I think after that, this thread, that route suggestions thread, and that other new services thread can close shop already.

Hi mr gekpohboy, no need to close. Route suggestions is anytime. It does not depend on any factors. As for LTA BSEP and new bus services threads, there is no need to close. Without BSEP, there will always be new services coming up as long as there are HDB flats being built and new roads being built. I understand the frequency of new bus services introduction or amendments may still be much slower but there will always be demands. No need close threads. Cheers. Thanks.
I've been observing at Bedok Mall bus stop 7:30pm and after, demand for 28 is huge but SDs come quite often.
I think 28 should be full fleet DD. Some services spam DD for no use, but 28 which demand is high has so many SDs.

28 has 5 SDs... you can argue that when 46, 117 etc. have DDs then 28 should def be full fleet DD.
If that was not the case, it is okay for 28 to have few SDs because you have sv 24 & 67 in parallel for long stretch of its route and sv 28's demand is uni-directional.
Maybe the timing of the SDs is not right just in many cases they deploy DDs in the off-peak direction.
But I agree both 28 and 67 have v heavy loading from 630-745pm at Bedok MRT stop.
28 should have a 28M loop somewhere at bedok. like 31A looped at this TM MRT station for ITE student.

Hi mr sbs6750E, human natural tendency to choose the closest stop. Ultimately, they only can board 1 bus service. Cheers. Thanks.

You should observe the number of pax alighting at the first stop along Bedok North Ave 3. That bus stop only has 28, 67, and 45 (which does not go to Bedok MRT).

There are lot of people boarding from interchange as well.

That few metres is not the only factor.
Jams inside and outside Bedok Int, more winding route and the inability to wait for multiple buses at the same time all adds up to this.
Also the combined freq of 28 and 67 is good enough for most pax so they need not enter the int for more options.
It is rather unbecoming to label the saving of the few metres as "lazy" if it means that the few matres could make a difference in whether a person could catch the bus in time. In this case, I can tell you it does.
I mean, go try it at Bedok Stn yourself and I can GUARANTEE you will also be "lazy" and just take 28 or 67.

Hi mr SMB128B, yes I agree. Cheers. Thanks.
Cool
There appears to be a conflict between the BSEP (British Subject Enrichment Programme) and the BCM (Basic Chinese Medication), that even the LTA is confused.
My concern is that there may be a discrepancy in the financial accounts, as a result of this same-same but different programmes.
The LTA may want to hire independent financial accountants to check that the accounts are in order.

LOL
Today, the LTA revealed that 14 bus routes would be launched between September 2016 and end 2017.
Of the 14 bus routes, 6 have been announced, namely
883 (Sembawang), 127 (Tampines), 129 (Whampoa), 973 (Bukit Panjang), 374 (Sengkang), 381 (Punggol).
Another 8 bus routes will be announced from now until end of the year, in areas like Ang Mo Kio, Bedok, Bishan, Bukit Batok, Hougang, Toa Payoh, Tuas and Yishun.
Honestly, I can almost certainly say that there is no such thing as the rumoured 500 running between Sengkang and Jurong West. Sengkang already has 374, and Jurong West is not in the list of areas revealed by LTA. It's time to accept the truth. If you wanna joyride, can always take taxi to and fro Jurong West and Sengkang, to satisfy your thirst (Grab Hitch cheaper; $15 per direction), or take MRT to and fro Sengkang and Boon Lay as many times as you like ($1.91 per direction).

Hi mr gekpohboy, 883 is sembawang not yishun. Cheers. Thanks.

883 does pass by Yishun so may be counted as Yishun service, although the only benefit it brings to Yishun residents is to link some blocks at Yishun Ave 2 to KTPH.
Dupdup77 was right. 883 is a Sembawang service, as it uses Sembawang Bus Interchange parking lots.

Ang Mo Kio (Sengkang West - AMK ??)
Bedok (DTL 3 connector to Bedok North Estate/Chai Chee, possibly going CBP)
Bishan (??)
Bukit Batok (Feeder service to BBT West new town)
Hougang (Buangkok Crescent)
Toa Payoh (Isn't 129 counted for TPY as well, otherwise ??)
Tuas (Tuas South Extension)
Yishun (feeder service to st 42/43/44)
** Not sure where would services be launched from mature estates AMK, Bishan and Toa Payoh as no new development, and already have many existing services.
How come Sengkang and Tampines North are not mentioned above?
I just realized LTA hasn't published where these 14 bus services will be launched? Gekpohboy you made it up??

Hi mr busanalyser, LTA published already. 4 bus routes already implemented from sep 2016 to feb 2017. March 2017--2 services (374, 381). Remaining 8 by end of 2017. Will be spread among the towns they give. Go to bus contracting model thread for the news release. Cheers. Thanks.
