Hi mr carbikebus, sbs 28 is just like sbs 3. They belong to those types of trunk bus services, doing some inner roads. This is due to the fact that Tampines and pasir ris are big towns and need some trunk services to absorb residents along certain segments of the inner areas/streets. Cheers. Thanks.

Thanks for forcing students from all those schools in the inner parts of N3/4 to go all the way back to interchange and transfer from there. And not everyone only takes bus to MRT/interchange...
Bus 46 is not wheelchair accessible. I guess this means it will use buses currently on bus routes going to Bulim depot, which will become "redundant" when TT takes over. So, I am expecting Scania K230UBs on this new service. :)
somehow, the new route 46 looks like the number 1. but why they never use number 1 for this route?
This could mean that the route may not use Tampines Bus Interchange in future.

WAB logo not printed on poster =/= not wheelchair-accessible
979's introduction poster had no WAB logo either, but it was considered a WAB service since introduction.

Oh, okay. Thanks for the clarification. :)

Just that loading in Bedok may not pick up before DTL3.
Yes and loading between UEC and Bedok North Road will remain poor (but guess its okay.. cannot expect full route to have heavy loading).
My preference would have been go to UEC via Tanah Merah, and have 45 extended to CBP. In turn, also have 14 diverted via route 45/17 to Bedok Interchange.
But guess that would be too many changes which LTA may not want to do after the 76/134 case.
Originally posted by shellstation:28 should stay the way it is, at least for the Tampines to Bedok part.
46 is a quite well-planned route. I see a few major high demand segments after DTL3 opens.
1) Tampines Int > St 83 / Ave 3 (291 fleet cut?)
2) Tampines West MRT > St 83 / Ave 3
3) Bedok Reservoir MRT > Bedok North Blk 85 and beyond
291 can reduce 2 buses. Too many buses for 291.
Actually 46 could have looped around Tampines town for eg: Tampines Ave 5 > Tampines Ave 4 > Tampines Ave 7 > Tampines Concourse > Tampines Ave 4 and back.
This way it would have also connected important amenities such as Century Square mall, the new stadium and hawker center along ave 5 (but bus will not be calling this stop) and Tampines Regional Library.

46 high chance to be extended to Tampines North in future.
A pair of new bus stop shelters being constructed at Tampines Concourse (Blk 523D and outside The Tampines Trilliant EC). Shall see which bus service will be amended to serve.

This maybe for Tampines Interchange expansion. Some services will be diverted here.
Or maybe the bus stop will be where the supposedly new service 68 will loop.

Hi mr sbs6750E, not that big. Current Sengkang Aircon interchange has 16 parking lots. The extension will have 12 parking lots. So total only 28 lots. Still small. In comparison, Punggol has 38 (current) + 12 (extension) = 50. Cheers. Thanks.
Any news for BSEP services in Q3?
Possibilities / rumours so far:
Anyone with insider info?

Sengkang has all along had 16 lots.

Possibilities / rumours so far:
- 1. Sembawang -- Canberra short trunk / feeder
- 2. Sengkang (West? Anchorvale?) short trunk / feeder
- 3. (Other) new services from Sengkang Int / Tampines Int expansion
- 4. Splitting of one / some long services (14, 51, 61, 66, 67, 171, 961)
- 5. DTL2 amendments
- 6. 68: Pasir Ris -- Tampines North?
Anyone with insider info?
68 will be introduced when Tamp Ave 11 is completed

Hi mr sbs351M, yes right. Maybe this is why expansion for sengkang interchange starts first instead of Hougang and Punggol. Cheers. Thanks.

Hougang i think at a later date,Punggul i think by Sept.Tampines might be early Sept too.
Sengkang so pathetic,Should have make 159 start from Toa Payoh and loop at Sengkang better.
