Though indeed, most of them are like a typical situation where you can hear the honk-honk outside while at the same time being stuck inside the interchanges for a while
Will soon have with Canberra Estate near completion. Some HDB blocks in Canberra already painted.
Will 169 be amended to ply Canbera Estate? It will link it directly to Senoko?

Cannot. It will increase the fares/travel time between Yishun MRT and Admiralty West / Seneko.
117 could be diverted to ply Canberra Estate to provide trunk service to Canberra. In addition, I expect a feeder from Sembawang to Canberra.
Actually, if you look at the layout for the first batch of blocks for Canberra, its not that big actually. Last time when someone showed how 117 would serve the estate, the bus service already serves all the future residents there
I am actually expecting a route from Sembawang to Woodlands. The demand for 856 & 169 is extremely high at night & early mornings. Even 5 HC buses cannot take all the passengers going towards the industrial estate
New feeder from Sembawang lor

Erm no. It makes a right turn towards Sembawang Rd just before the estate
from SBST website
new service 46 & 26 amended to chai chee area
46 is upper east coast to tampines via bedok
i guess nothing abt 67 though haha
any idea what is the purpose for 46?

I wonder why Tampines Interchange again... I was wondering if Tampines North Interchange is up and running, will some buses be shifted to terminate there?

Upper East Coast -> Tampines (Loop), also stopping at Century Square, Tampines 1 and Tampines Central 1/Tampines Concourse, those bus routes that did not get served. There is no space at Tampines Interchange after the introduction of 20 in 2013.
Tampines Interchange Extension will be opening soon :)
It provides a long-waited complaining connectivity from Bedok North Road (Fengshan Market) / Tampines Avenue 3 to the respective MRT stations.
68 will only be from Pasir Ris to Tampines Concourse (Loop), or don't do it at all. Bus 46 took over my stretch.
Anyway, all these are my suggestions from 2014 (feedback to LTA).
It can also be extended to Pasir Ris, the main reason is to decentralise the crowding of Tampines Interchange. But some of the routes will be under Go-Ahead (if it is 68). 46 is SBST.
most likely BNDEP will control 46 coz by that day, 66 will be out of BN due to operator change to TT. so by then, BN will have space for 46

Poster did not state looping at Tampines Interchange. If looping then the poster would be somehow like Svc 256/258, continuous journey between Joo Koon - Boon Lay (Loop) and Boon Lay - Joo Koon (Loop) respectively.

sv159/163 also dun show it loop at TPY interchange ..Sv46 will just do what sv 159/163 is doing at TPY interchange (short layover)... most likely it wont rest at tampines interchange due to space issue...

Ooh.. I see... Noted of that...
So will there be a chance of Svc 26 to have a DD perm (maybe one DD)?

not so sure...maybe not now? maybe they will see how the demand first?
Next year, 46 will connect people living in Tampines West (and Bedok East) to the Downtown Line Tampines West station.

Hi mr TPS Timothy Mok, last time I wondered why bedok 85 market got so few bus services. Then they say they will enhance chai Chee area by amending sbs 26. So I thought bedok north Blk 85 market will have no enhancement. Haha. Never did I expect they introduce new bus service 46 to cover bedok 85 market. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr sbs 9256X, it terminates at Tampines interchange. Not loop. Surprise still got space at Tampines interchange. Cheers. Thanks.

Excellent. Sv 46 is like I proposed for sv 14 extension to Tampines. It is to connect UEC/Bedok South/Fengshan to future DTL3. Also with this they are connecting Tampines Ave 3/st 83 to DTL3.
Good move. I think the route will do well with DDs.
Alternately, it could have done Tanah Merah MRT - UEC and sv 45 could have been diverted to CBP instead.

The work on Tampines interchange extension has started. In future, some services will extend to Tampines North.

Major layover time will be at UEC. Tampines may just be a stop gap measure until Tampines extension is up and running.
yeyeyeye on sv 26 route diversion and new service 46. Good ones :))

The Tampines sector should have higher loading as it supplements 291 and 293 to Tampines Int, though I'm not sure if the Bedok South - Bedok reservoir sector needs DDs, as it largely duplicates 506. But loading will increase when DTL3 opens.

Loading will definitely be very good as this will be the only service connecting Bedok North Road (huge # of HDBs + new ones at Fengshan) to DTL + new connection to nearby Tampines town which was missing.
506 is an express service w/ poor frequency and cannot be compared.
The part of 46 duplicating with 291/293 will really depend on which service calls first. 291/293 are doing pretty good, and you don't see the long snaling queues anymore as you have a bus every 03 mins (unless traffic delays). 16-17 buses + PPSS is good enough for this sector.
The reason it plies ave 3/st 83 is to give those residents quicker access to DTL rather than back travel to Tampines Interchange.
46 will terminate at Tampines North in future.Quite a good service i must say,Most probably running with 5 Citaros and 4 B9TL Wrights(7 A/P 2 S).26 i should say add 2 more buses.
