Hi mr sbs6853S, good idea. Chai Chee st needs a bus service other than 222. Initially I thought the bedok service is a new service, passing by bedok north road Blk 85 fengshan market to somewhere else. That area is also lacking of buses. Lucky sbs 222 frequency is super solid. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr sbs6853S, noted. Good amendment. Cheers. Thanks.
Its fine if 26 enters only the Chai Chee area, but I dont want it to enter Kembangan. That would be too long and also a bit frustrating for the passengers. If this service serves too many areas, its reliability will obviously be affected.
I thought that 222 may be divided become 222G/222W like how 225 works, but now like Bedok already full have to give way for other services as well, so that is understandable.
Personally, I would just make 42 enter Chai Chee instead. Divide 42 become 42 & 42M (enter Chai Chee) like that still acceptable
Wait. 26 amendment is not a BSEP service. There will be 1 new service from Bedok to Tampines according to press release

Fantastico!!
I don't want to sound cocky here... but if implemented, this was another one of my suggestions for sv 26 to modify to Chai Chee.
Great move!!
http://news.asiaone.com/news/singapore/lta-rewards-134m-sbs-transit-and-504k-smrt-improving-bus-waiting-times
LTA rewards $1.34m to SBS Transit and $504k to SMRT for improving bus waiting times -
Bedok Bus Interchange has 58 parking lots, so the capacity is around twenty-nine bus routes. Currently, it has twenty-four bus routes (not including 17, 18 and 60).
I guess the new bus route will start at Bedok Bus Interchange, loop at Tampines Street 45, and return to Bedok Bus Interchange. It may ply Bedok North Avenue 1, New Upper Changi Road, Bedok North Road, Bedok North Avenue 3, Bedok Reservoir Road, Tampines Avenue 1, Tampines Avenue 2, Tampines Avenue 7, Tampines Street 45 and Tampines Avenue 9. Length of route may be around 18 km.

Maybe another similar case as sv76. Cut short one bus service (sv67?) n then introduce another one cover the shortened route

Quite like what I've once suggested, if that's the case. Downside would be the loss of direct links from Tampines to Lavender / Little India / KK, but there is 23 and 65 (and DTL3 in the future) to partially cover for it.

it might make sense though
67 ends at bedok, then tampines int have 1 bus service free space. then intro tampines to bedok via the deleted sector
if this happens, then this is nothing to do with 68 coz 68 starts at pasir ris int
anyway if commuters want to travel from geylang to safra tampines, can still take 28 since it parallel with 67 (though only parallel till tampines ave 1)

I agree too... Tampines has so many buses running parallel...
Svc 28/67: Geylang - SAFRA Tampines
Svc 21/67: Sims Ave - Jalan Eunos Junction & Bedok Reservior Rd - Tampines Ave 5

Cannot anyhow split or shorten 67. 20 bendy buses, how? Somehow, SMRT is taking forever to buy double deckers. Commuters from Little India / KK Hospital / Lavender / Geylang will cry to go Bedok / Tampines. Somehow it is crowded with foreign workers and maids. Bedok Interchange got no space.
It is however sad to see 67 go. It will be discussed in another meeting. Another way is to wait until either the complaints quietened down or PAP is thrown out of power (Marine Parade GRC & East Coast GRC especially).
It might make sense to split 28. It is too windy a route. 28 shorten to Bedok. 152 shorten to loop at Paya Lebar :)
28: Tampines - Paya Lebar (Loop)
152: Toa Payoh - Bedok

ya..not sure why someone menton sv68, unless it did not start from pasir ris..
was thinking that sv26 might get amended (chai chee) plus extended to upper east coast or CBP terminal, thus free up some space at Bedok, while, sv67 can be cut short to bedok, with a new service serving bedok and tampines...
Gd to have anothr svc at Chai Chee. New bus stops already erected ard 3 weeks ago at Chai Chee Dr/St..

Frankly I emailed LTA before rgd another bus at Chai Chee but they didn't like the idea. Surprisingly...

well if 67 were to cut short, i believe 21, 23, 65 & upcoming DTL3 is the alternative
65 goes to bedok reservoir & safra tampines from little india
23 goes to tampines ave 5 from little india also
from geylang, Bedok MRT & bedok reservoir to tampines, there is 28
from geylang to tampines ave 1/5, there is 21
from little india to bedok north/reservoir/tampines east stations, there will be DTL3 soon
67 could be Eunos > CCK. 68 could be Pasir Ris > Eunos via Tampines and Bedok. This could be another possibility.
Though there is need for a new service along Tampines St 86 area with the new condos/HDBs there. This is probably what we were expecting with 68 to connect Pasir Ris, Tampines Ave 10, Temasek, DTL3 and loop but could also make sense to extend to Eunos/Bedok via Chai Chee. (if 26 is not doing this.)
17A can change into a new service originating from CBP > ITE > Bedok North Depot > Bedok North Ave 4 > Bedok North Road > Bedok MRT > Chai Chee Estate and back.
Again really depends which service is diverted to Chai Chee, but Chai Chee does need a good trunk service.
With this change 229 can be edited to ply Bedok South Road directly instead of looping around Chai Chee.

That was exactly my suggestion on 26 few months back :)

Better to cut 67 than 28. 28 is not as long. 67 is too long and now with DTL, makes more sense to split. Moreover, the Tampines side will be with SBST and better reliability.

but isnt this too ambitious? though it is a good idea
doubt LTA will do that

Being ambitious is not bad ;-)

There should be a bus svc to Tampines St 86 eventually, but if u look at google maps street view, the road junctions at both ends are left turn only, so it'll be quite hard for a bus svc to ply St 86 in both directions. Strangely, there's bus bays built along St 86 on both sides of the road.
I think St 86 would just have a feeder bus svc from Tampines Int, looping there. As for the new Tampines-Bedok bus svc, it could be the splitting of 67, although it's not really a "new" svc and would probably cause a bigger hoo-ha than the 76 amendment. But honestly Tampines and Bedok are quite well connected by buses alrdy.
