Any updates on the Joo Koon - Bukit Gombak service?

It's very obvious, actually. It's probably going to call at bus stops next to the MRT stations only, and run parallel to the MRT line.
the part from bukit batok to bukit gombak I guess it will follow route 187 closely.
there's a likelihood that it will use joo koon bus interchange.
If the new service going to utilise Joo Koon then 258 might be starting from Boon Lay and loop at JK..JK only meant for 8 service in reality,Peak hours you will see buses finding lots for parking.
There will be a new bus service from Poyan to Lei Tung, Stockton-on-Tees, Donna Dook and South Horizons to enhance connectivity to the new MRT at Poyan.

Joo Koon few buses can be parked at the side. Not so bad yet in terms of parking. Can accommodate 1 more service.

Seriously they need a bigger depot for more buses to park.

bigger depot?
but most depots fits about 500 to 550 buses
AMDEP could merge into one single depot (SMRT/Tibs uses the northern part while ComfortDelGro uses the rest of the region)
no more ONP at WRI also

Both Amdep no guarantee when can they last.If LTA decide Sungei Seletar and a new Bishan depot replace them,Then they have to make way.

Bishan Depot (BSDEP) maybe, the location would be opposite ComfortDelGro's Braddell Bus Park (BRBP).
SSDEP = Yishun, Ang Mo Kio and Sembawang
BSDEP = Bishan, Toa Payoh and Potong Pasir/Woodleigh/Bidadari
most of the depots for the GCM/BSEP caters to 3 ITHs each

Depend on the numbers of service also,If you compile all those service for Bishan,I would think it will be more than 30 service liao..Unless its a 550 or 600 capacity depot. For 500 capacity type i would think LTA only limit to 26-27 service only.

There will be a bus depot at Semakau for CBD services. There will also be an ancillary bus park at Kranji area for 160, 170, 170A, 170X and 950 to park.

SMRT or SBST?

Smrt. It is just temp service with 2-3 hrs of operation on sun/ph only. Sort of like the mrt shuttle last time when they close jurong east for the new tracks.

IMO it should be daily at the rate their trains keep breaking down haha.

LTA screwed them over...
LTA funded too many purchases of A22s, and disallowed mass puchasing of bendies. (until recently when they decided 4 door bendies are wonderful as well)

3 doors bendy is fine..but seriously if LTA funded another 60 units and SMRT keep on losing their interchanges where do you think those bendies will go?What if SBST win their interchanges?
