Hi mr gekpohboy, the official sources had already stated 25 bus services in Loyang depot package last year. It is confirmed that there are currently only 24 bus services and there is this additional bus service 68 inside go ahead group Singapore plans. The only thing not confirmed is the interchange/terminal to start and end with. But logically since go ahead group Singapore controls changi village, changi airport Terminal, pasir ris and Punggol interchange, sbs 68 must start from either of these 4. So naturally people are guessing currently. From my opinion, I think it is pasir ris. We shall continue to wait to see the results.
Some items can be treated as rumours. Some items have already been made known and are not considered rumours. You need to differentiate between either of these. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr sbs6750E, sbs 62 distance is actually not long if you consider 1 direction. The only practical thing is to stop at geylang lor 1 terminal. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr carbikebus, just continue to follow the non-disclosure terms which is standard for every company. Sometimes suspense is much more better. By the way, congrats that you are back with the Singapore public transport industry. It is always good to walk the talk and be involved with something you are interested in. Cheers. Thanks.
the bus service 68 should start from Punggol since 62 terminates there.
Punggol to Pasir Ris already has svc 3, very unlikely the route of 68.
Punggol to Changi Airport also out, covered by service 34.
68's other termination point could be Bukit Merah or Eunos.

Hi mr smb145, the two ends need not be Pasir ris, Punggol, changi airport, changi village. One 1 end needs to be either of the 4. I predict pasir ris to tampines ave 4 loop. Cheers. Thanks.

After LTA hints of svc 189/201,76/134 and introduction of short distance trunks,You dare to say the service going Bt Merah eh?Ok la for the benefit of doubt what i can tell it start from P Ris and looping at neighbouring estates only.Next year there will be a new service from the popular eating place/Sea terminating at Eastern area also..

68 will definitely not be a CBD service. There will be no more suburban/CBD services, period. All new services will be suburban.
Popular eating place/sea? If this service terminates in the East, I would imagine the starting point would also be in the East. I suspect you're referring to Changi Village or ECP?
Changi Village I really can't think of any new connection, unless it's Tampines North or Punggol (but Punggol is more Northeast).
As for ECP, I'm also a bit surprised because 401 is sufficient already, unless this is a service that connects Eunos/Kallang or perhaps Tampines, and ECP is just a looping point.
68 could be Pasir Ris <> Middle Road (loop) with 67 serving CCK <> Boon Keng (loop).

Hi mr busanalyser, I don't think so. From the way carbikebus says, sbs 68 is a super short trunk route. It should only be pasir ris up to tampines or at most bedok. The authorities will not implement a route which is going into bugis area like middle road. Cheers. Thanks.
Originally posted by gekpohboy:Punggol West may need another bus service eventually. The new bus service 382 G/W may not be enough to cater to the new residential apartments in the area.
Hi mr gekpohboy, you need to wait until next year at least because the extended Punggol interchange will not be up this year. Cheers. Thanks.

It's not really a new route if you see. It is just splitting of 67, with 68 extended to Pasir Ris from Tampines.

First let 382G/W settle down. Currently each bus has between 5-15 loading at all times (incl. peak). 382G/W itself may get modified in future to cater to Matilda HDBs in 2017 since it is bi-directional.

Hi mr busanalyser, it is still super unlikely. They will not make 2 long routes become loop (sbs 67 and sbs 68 by your suggestions to loop at boon Keng and middle road respectively) when they finally managed to get rid of 1 long trunk loop route (sbs 76). Cheers. Thanks.
Tampines Greenforest estimated TOP date is June 2016. Residents probably have to rely on 69, 118 and 513 since there's no news of a new service plying along Tampines Street 86 ...
Tampines Street 86 have 2 pairs of bus stops.
1) Blk 879B and QBay Residences
2) Before the bend before the junction of St 86 and Ave 8.

At least someone with more logical..
All, latest round of BSEP for Q2 2016 is announced. Implementation date is 24 April 2016. Affected services are sbs 117 and sbs 386, both Punggol bus services.
1. Sbs 117 is amended to ply west camp road instead of seletar west link. This provides coverage to youth flying club and ST airport services.
2. Sbs 386 is extended further up to edgedale plains end, with the same type of loop at 2 bus stops (1 stop going to Punggol mrt, 1 stop to Punggol east). It will continue to loop at Punggol east/central (Blk 162B bus stop) and serve all other bus stops. This will benefit waterway view and sundew residents.
Cheers. Thanks.
So 117 will be an alternative to 103? Loop inside then leave, no more the 'semi expressway' along seletar west link?

Hi mr TIB585L, yes 100% confirmed. The posters are out at Punggol bus interchange. So expect sbs 117 journey time to be further extended. Cheers. Thanks.

i will expect the timing to be tightened since no extra buses are needed

Hi mr sbs6853S, yes I also wish so because I will not like the journey time from Punggol to khatib/yishun mrt by taking sbs 117 to increase. Currently transferring to smrt 965 will be faster. Cheers. Thanks.

i know... thats why i say too ambitious
if they want to make like 189/201 & 76/134 style and since it is at the east, i can only think of 67
