Not even needed... too many already floating around.

Hi mr busanalyser, don't think they will introduce 2 Punggol new services at the same time even though I see 2 plaques being constructed at berth B2 and B4 at Punggol bus interchange today. Cheers. Thanks.

Wow. Insider info? (I presume you mean 20 Dec 2015)
This still leaves Yew Tee - Bt Panjang, but not sure how late it will be introduced, seeing that there's no movement along this route yet. I'm hoping for a 177 extension or a standalone route instead of 983.
I suspect once DTL2 opens there will naturally be feedback for a connection to Yew Tee. A 177 extension sounds doable, and I urge you to voice your feedback through other channels other than these forums. That's really how these LTA folks operate from their ivory towers - unless there's pressure, they're grand schemes will stay out of touch with realities on the ground.
Case in point would be my own stomping grounds. I really hope 47 will serve the under-served parts of East Coast/Siglap/Frankel where common sense links to Kembangan MRT are non-existant. Judging by how these people think, I doubt so and these areas will be glossed over. I suspect this new svc will basically connect Chai Chee and Telok Kurau, perhaps Haig Rd with M Parade Rd.
Oh well...

I recommend making the same suggestion across various forums. Not really for different views and opinions, because apparently it's the same people everywhere (anyway, how big is Singapore?). Rather, it is for the voice.
Say the same thing over many platforms. The more platforms, the louder the voice. And the higher the chances of being heard by the LTA.
Anyway, well, if it is observed that after the Downtown Line opens, the loading drops, we could extend the route of the affected bus services, so that they can serve more areas and recover the losses from there.

Agreed. High probability for 177 to become full day service in future.

Hi mr busanalyser, I think I am wrong this time. Heard that sbs 118 will be launched from Punggol to Changi business park interchange on 20 dec 2015. This will be CBP 1st bus service. No wonder there are 2 plaques being constructed at berth B2 and B4 at Punggol bus interchange. So excited that after waiting for close to 9 months, they will launch 2 Punggol services Sbs 117 and SBS 118 at the same time! Cheers!
117 Punggol--Sembawang,Heard 8 buses.
118 Punggol--Changi Business Park,Heard 7-8 buses.

Is CBP confirmed to be completed and operational? Maybe I might missed it, and if I do, do point it out to me
If 118 did ply TP, just nice their term break ends soon.
Anyway, I found 3 plaques (B2, B3, B4) at Punggol Int instead of 2. (Can soneone clarify that)
At the current rate, Punggol really needs an official and larger Int. It receive one replacement service (84), one supplement service (43M), and by 20 Dec, five BSEP services (50, 117, 118, 119, 386). TBH, it is currently too small

Svc 50 can just loop at the Int,Svc 84 can start from Sengkang passing by Punggol Int.
Fun fact: Services 116~123 are all introduced / amended under BSEP.

Exciting times for Punggol... but Punggol deserves it given the huge development in both east and west towns... Especially west town needs better connectivitiy.

Well, the design of Punggol as a whole is weird TBH. Crazy designs for its HDB, bridges everywhere. Road layout makes it difficult to plan routes without duplicating others. Nothing to eat near MRT area (until Waterpoint is finish, which it isnt)

Hi mr carbikebus, so happy. Finally direct connection from Punggol to CBP. Direct to changi General hospital I hope. Currently need take 3 buses sbs 3 -> sbs 27/34 -> sbs 10/31 along tampines ave 5. So inconvenient. Cheers. Thanks.

Bear with it for a few more months. I heard that there is a new shopping centre coming up at Punggol MRT Station, called "Waterway Point". I see the website and I feel that the new shopping centre is comparable to "Westgate" at Jurong East and "Compass Point" at Seng Kang.
Bear with it for around ten to twenty years. There are roads not yet constructed. Nonetheless, the road capacity now should be sufficient as there is not much traffic there.

Hi mr ButIAmAToilet, I heard it is near completion. If sbs 118 is launched, it must be able to take in. Unless they plan for initial looping around CBP first.
The additional plaque at B3 was up there for more than 8 months already. So it is only 2 additional plaque at B2 and B4 that were recently erected this week.
84 only got 2 buses. 50 and 119 were added many years ago. With 386 added last year, its capacity should have been almost full with at most 1 more addition. Thus I only thought will launch sbs 117. Since they launch another sbs 118, should just squeeze everything to the limit. Cheers. Thanks.

Hi mr jurongresident, not few more months. It is mid of jan 2016. Already delayed from Q4 2015. Much bigger than compass point which is small. 2nd largest in Northeast after NEX at serangoon. Got 24 hrs shaw threatres. Hooray.

Hi mr busanalyser. I foresee a lot of people will stop taking private buses to CBP in the morning if sbs 118 is launched. Provided that the route for sbs 118 is direct enough, it will be a mass hit. Please do not give us another winding sbs 3 type of route. Cheers. Thanks.
