  as for sv76, they could jolly well add 2-3 buses and let the buses have a 5-10 min break at the last bus stop at marine terrace instead of splitting into 76/68...

  or do as 195B style....terminate at last bus stop as 76A, break, then off service and restart journey from the 1st bus stop at marine terrace or marine cres as 76.....

  LTA should consider using number 1,44,104,114,134 & 144.Beside that number that still available is 46,68,71,108,110,126,127,129,137,146,148,149,150,152,164,202-210.

  46 can start from JE or UEC, 68 cn start from the Eunos, 71 can start from YCK, 108,110 from SG or HG. 12x i dont think NBR got bus or BTM or HBF. 137 idk AMK can or not. 164 if got another Woodlands svc i would put that

  46 most probably reserved for UEC.68 confirm Eunos.71 can start from West also since there is 75,77,78 & 79.108 HG after the extension.110 can start from Ghim Moh or future Marina South.12x St Mikes,Or even Woodleigh or Bt Merah.137 Punggol also can.164 Sengkang or Sembawang.

  I would love 144 or 146,104 or 108 compliment 105 from Jurong East to compliment 143.137 from Punggol to compliment 136,164 compliment 163 at Sengkang and 110 for Ghim Moh.

  After all, BSEP and GCM are improvement programmes. Before BSEP, it was the quarterly review of bus services. After BSEP, it is GCM.

  If you are referring to the government funding of buses, it's not BSEP. It is BSEF: Bus Service Enhancement Fund.

  The Bus Service Enhancement Fund is explained and elaborated in the Singapore Statutes Online, at section 13B of chapter 158A (Land Transport Authority of Singapore Act). You may read about it here:

  Don't get your hopes high. Nobody knows why 41 and 49 were chosen to be the (currently smallest) bus services that operate exclusively in the west. Among other numbering anomalies that I shall not bother to list here.

  After the exhaustion of the first 200+ service numbers, the next plausible group that will be utilised for trunk services would likely be the 400s. Any guess which ones will be used first, and where will they ply?

  202-219 still can use... I would think 20x is for Kent Ridge (although there's not much need). 

  40x would probably be used for Marina South in my opinion (although using 126,127,129 are also okay to me). Actually can just renumber 401, 403 and 408. After that maybe we'll see 420-499 being used.

  Consider how many premium services (operated by private operators) are taken between numbers 520 and 799. Including the Jurong Island Services.

  And why is 408 on that list, and 0/1 not?

  Given the sheer number of available service numbers and we can just pick out a random vacancy, is this list even necessary?

  Lets see how it pans out... but I don't think there is need for 76 to divert to Eunos and be so duplicative with 24/28/154. 

  76 is doing okay and it is not the only service at Marine Terrace/Crescent. In fact, they can just open the right turn from there (closing the one at Marine Crescent) for 13, 16, 196 to call at Marine Terrace as well in both directions.

  Apparently the publictransport website on BSEP changed again, and it's now stating that the new service would be from/passing through Marine Parade, and 13 will be modified instead of 76.

  Again a new set of rumours, and I'm quite suprised they'd touch 13 because it remains the only unique connection between Marine Terrace and Geylang Serai/Geylang/Lavender St. There are several possibilities. 

  1. Truncating 13 at Sims Pl, and introducing a new Sims Pl <> Upp East Coast Rd service covering the old route. This would eliminate a connection between Lavender St/Marine Parade but it would open up more connections for the Sims Pl/Dr area. Though this would buck the rumours that have been circulating about a Eunos-MP service. 

  2. Amending 13 such that it plied Still Rd > East Coast Rd > Upp East Coast Rd. 13 is quite duplicative of 16, 43 and 48. Plying East Coast Rd improves MRT access which is very poor for this section of East Coast Rd (between Telok Kurau Rd & Siglap Rd). The only viable connection currently provided is to Eunos/Paya Lebar MRT through 155, which 13 would enhance. But this is far from ideal as Eunos can only be served in one-direction and is not the nearest MRT station, unlike Kembangan. It is sad that Kembangan can only be accessed by 32 indirectly and amending 42 is very difficult. Don't even mention Bedok MRT because it is really a huge back-track for most commuters who originate from the City. 

  Then M4 is reinstated as a Eunos> Sims Av > Still Rd > Still Rd South > Marine Parade Rd > Marine Cres/Terr loop service to make Eunos MRT access two-way and more reliable. 

  3. 13 is truncated at Eunos and a new service is introduced covering the deleted sector. However, I am skeptical as this would invariably make Geylang Serai less accessible. Even though Eunos Int is within walking distance, for many elderly who patronise Geylang Serai market, it can be an added hassle. 

  Anyways, a new route is introduced linking Eunos > Upp East Coast Rd though possibly this too could be amended to link Upp East Coast > Bedok South Av 1 > New Upp Changi Rd > Chai Chee Dr > Chai Chee St (loop).

  1 Feb 2016

  01 February 2016 - A new feeder Service 805 will be launched from Sunday, 14 February, to ply between Yishun Bus Interchange and Yishun Avenue 1 (loop service). The service will serve upcoming developments along Yishun Avenue 1 and 4, and enhance connection to key transport nodes such as Yishun MRT and key amenities such as Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Yishun Community Hospital.
