Bulim Bus Depot officially opens
SINGAPORE: Tower Transit's Bulim Bus Depot was officially opened on Sunday (Dec 6) by MP for Hong Kah North Amy Khor, at a carnival held at the depot.
More than 2,000 people attended the event, which saw Tower Transit staff give guided public tours of the depot's facilities.
Tower Transit also unveiled its official uniforms after an online poll held over the last two months. The winning design, featuring Tower Transit's green and white corporate colours, won over 1,500 of the 3,605 votes.
From mid-2016, Tower Transit will run 26 bus services from the depot, serving Bukit Batok, Clementi and Jurong East interchanges.
Speaking to Channel NewsAsia, Tower Transit said it will run training programmes at the depot for its bus drivers from now till operations begin.
The Land Transport Authority (LTA) handed over the depot to Tower Transit in July, after the company won the tender under the new contracting model for bus services.
The company plans to hire more than 700 bus drivers by mid-2016.

I hate it when Bus Enthusiast after eating, never clear the table... I took over the table after they left..
And also I feel that Bus Enthusiast needs to give the member of public to answer quiz rather than they answer... It is not fair as not always they will get a chance...
Could not find available seating therefore had my catered food "picnic" style
Overhead a conversation which I believed was from the admins of one of the Facebook pages. Someone said that "until now still no picture taken" and "say that no sun light take picture is better". Coincidentally, there is one Facebook page which does not have any pictures about today's event. (Oh wait... maybe not)
Apparently, the major Facebook pages all got their own teams to take pictures...
Personally, I feel that there is no meaning in going around in groups just to visit places like this or see buses. And they go there just to take picture... o.0
When Joo Koon Bus Interchange opened, they flocked there. Today when Bulim Bus Depot open, they flocked here. Next time when Changi Business Park Bus Terminal open, they will probably flock there.
I do not think this is called being enthusiastic with buses. This is called sight seeing.
I thought being a bus enthusiast only means recording sounds of motor, enjoying the air-conditioning, enjoying the sound of the bell, enjoying the sound and movement of the door, enjoying the seat material, enjoying climbing the stairs, and taking pictures of bus models?
Since when does it include visiting bus interchanges/terminals/depots, taking away bus service guides, tracking fleet deployment, spotting bus ads, suggesting bus routes, tracking press releases, writing on and spamming online forums (eg. SGforums) and having kopitiam talks about BSEP, GCM, etcetera?
during the tour Q&A the staff announced the takeover dates

When will they takeover?
Managed to only snapped a handful of pics due to the crowd & "hogging" of the buses.
Luckily it rained very lightly while I snapped the shuttle service (SG5008J)

Contary to popular belief, there is no fixed definition of what activities a bus enthusiast can or should engage in. The spectrum is very wide (and you can say, deliberately so). I wrote a simplified list a few years ago.
Good Evening Ladies and Gentlemen,
The event "A Bulim Carnival Day" is over.
Thank you for the support and participation.
Let us continue discussions at the thread on the Government contracting model for public bus industry. I think that would be a more appropriate thread for discussions about the Government Contracting Model on public bus services in Singapore.
Yours Sincerely,
One-Punch Man
For main GCM discussions such as whether GCM is good or bad, and discussions about packages etc, use the "Government Contracting Model for public bus industry" thread. Collation of registration of SG plates and regos can be done at "GCM New/Transferred Buses". Thanks.

Confirmed...it is most likely the regoless A22 at WPDEP where the front rego plate is placed near the windscreen.
