sadly I think MLG is a bit too close minded on the FIFA games they pick up.PDZ IS slower paced, but that's just how it is.PDZ to me seems very much like a Counter Strike equivalent for a console system." Flare8's notion was seconded in a rather emotional response from attendee natman2939,who said "for all the people who say it would never work for fifa coins tournaments,I bet you'd change your tune real quick if Sundance said it was perfect." The President of Major League Gaming,Sundance DiGiovanni's lighthearted response to the subject of Perfect Dark Zero was an inside joke for old MLG Halo fans: "right now it's looking like we're only gonna run [Blood] Gulch custom start CTF in the '06." Witty sarcasm aside,it's apparent that Perfect Dark Zero stands little chance of becoming a part of MLG's roster.Grand Calc,an Administrator at MLGpro.com's forums, stated that "From what I have heard, preliminary testing by MLG has not yielded favorable results." This mood is reflected by a number of MLG FIFA players."Overall I have very mixed feelings about it.When I first got it I thought it was the greatest game ever.I feel it's well thought out and has very good potential, but there are just a few things that I feel kill the competitive aspect of it...I want to say I like the game, but it's just too slow paced..." said MLG attendee,Bepo.I personally love Perfect Dark Zero for many reasons. It's gorgeous, and has an extremely immersive atmosphere. The increased response and precision of the Xbox 360 controller, combined with an aiming system which d sn't rely on auto aim, makes me feel that I'm pushing my skills beyond what was possible with the last generation. And yet the game also has amazing depth, much more so than most offerings in the FPS genre, allowing observant and committed FIFA players to gain an edge on their opponents through more than possessing a greater proficiency for aiming.Intelligent use of the cover and diving mechanics allow those who may not as be as quick on the trigger to stand a chance in battle. Will 500 people travel across country for PDZ? It's easy to recognize, however, that this game simply wasn't destined for MLG.The fact that the maps aren't conducive to 4 on 4 competitions is a serious drawback, because it's hard enough for FIFA players to organize fut 16 coins a four man FIFA ultimate team that can commit to serious practice and cross country travel as it is.This problem could potentially be remedied through downloadable content, though Rare has yet to announce any plans to provide new maps of any sort, large or small,in the future (Bungie specifically addressed the need of smaller maps for those who played offline in their recent map pack for Halo 2).
