SMB3606T and SMB3607R were deployed on 854 for a while in the morning and these two DDs had gone back to park at AMDEP since I pass by there. Hope these 2 BSEP DDs will deploy 860 soon for a start! 😆

The only other alternative to get DDs would be 855 that might get 3606T and 3607R. But I strongly recommend 860 get these instead.
On another note, 860 is doing very well with 16 buses right now. There is a bus every 03 minutes, and there is lot of instances when 3 buses come together.
Also note, PM load is quite less on 860 from Khatib compared to the load to Khatib in AM peak. So if they want to deploy DDs... they need to cut few buses as well otherwise will be bit of waste of resource.

So none of the DDs from PB went to AMDEP... all go to KJ and WL.
This means... the 2 new BSEP AMDEP will be either for 855 getting its 2 BSEP slot upgraded to DD... or 860.
AMDEP should have taken DDs to upgrade sv 61, 67 from its end... Also I thought 854 should have got more PB buses.

They should focus on Yishun first.
851 need 4 at least,854 kick out 5 SDs and replace with 3 DDs,855 can deploy 4 during peak hours,Weekends no need.860 exchange 5 SDs to 4 DDs.

855 can have DDs but no need that much and yes, during weekdays only. So lets see if these 2 new BSEP DDs will debut on 855 or 860 or maybe deploy on 854 for additional DDs.
Right now AMDEP should transfer out those bendy buses from 61 & 67 along with some spare ones to WLDEP in order to take more DDs in.

854 don't need more BSEP... just need few SDs to switch to DD from SMRT side... in fact too many buses... can cut to 26 buses from 29 if fleet is upgraded to more DDs.

Being a frequent rider on 855, I doubt that it needs DDs.. more of a frequency tweak will be more viable for this service during AM peak.
If 961 can get DDs so can 855. not really necessary in my (and some others' opinions) but it still happened

In a fleet of 32 buses.. I really don't know how much sense does the 2 DDs make on sv 961.. it is a good to have.. as 961 for most part of its route acts as an alternative rather than primary choice.
855 still has a more unique route as it is the only service that connects Upper Thomson / YCK Road to Yishun. I do see full buses in this stretch.

IMO, 855 needs both the frequency beef-up and SD > DD conversions or DD fleet adds for Weekdays... Can start with converting both current BSEP fleet adds to DDs, then convert about 4 SD to DDs (2 A/P, 2 splits). Ever saw full buses from Jalan Bukit Merah to VivoCity during PM peak (aroud 6p.m. to 7p.m.), which were mostly A/P buses (one of them is SMB162B if I'm not wrong)...

855 route is quite unique... if someone misses a bus... difficult to find alternative.. so yes I support with 2 BSEP DDs first... and observing its loading...more can be added later.
Can have benefit if 855 were to have DDs. Should deploy more during peak hours

Weekday Woodlands side should be 16 A/P 5 S1 & 3 S2 with fleet of 19 SDs and 5 DDs
Ang Mo Kio should be 6 A/P 2 S1 with all SDs
SMRT shouldnt deploy 5001 & 5002 as training buses..Should at least deploy it as spare buses
