Mrt is the most realistic choice considering that the journey is very far by bus. Sbs 51 (with transfer) takes you more than 1 hr 45 min at the very least. I think easily 2 hrs and more.   Hi mr pathlight, take east-west MRT to outram Park then take north east line to Hougang. Journey time will be around 1 hr. This will be more realistic in current Travelling standards. And please do not keep suggesting to extend current bus routes to unrealistically super long routes. Cheers. Thanks.

  Hmm, i think the Yishun Ave 1 bus stop is nearer to the dam.. just walk a bit backwards. if for West Camp Rd need to cross the road.
