I don't think Sv 854 needs the DDs in a hurry though. They can survive well enough if they convert some of the existing rigids to Bendy slots (either old Bendies or the MAN Bendies)..
I would say 854 can stick to bendies while WL side should convert 2 more SD slots on 857 to DD. Loading and long distance justifies.
Bedok ITHs arent bendy friendly either,They can only deploy 2 rigids vs 1 bendy arrangement..Dont say im anti bendy but take a look yourself during peak hour and you get what ive meant,Amdep can give 2-3 slots to Wldep for DD slots.

Well, expected 811 to move back to AMDEP/YIBP sooner or later. It is rather an oddball that 811 is the only Yishun feeder/intratown to be under WLDEP.
I still remember that time 811 moved to WLDEP so as for the OC500LEs to mass replace those outgoing Lances on 853, instead of directly taking in new Batch 2 A22s to replace those Lances.

811 has already moved to AMDEP starting from today. An A24 bendy is already spotted running on the service as soon as the change was effected.

Hmm, there was an article in Straits Times a few weeks ago that mentioned that Sv 856 is getting another SD-to-DD conversion next month though..

Yeah, Straits Times definitely reported that because it was some article with regards to the enhancements they did to Sv 856 & 857 recently. The article came out at the start of this month IIRC..so just keeping everyone updated here.

Now it seems that 854 is indeed back to full AMDEP, while 969 full WLDEP.
There might be a possibility that the AMDEP 132x A22s from 969 all went to 854 in exchange for the WLDEP 854 A22s to 969. Need to observe again.

If thats the case then 854 have to wait till 3rd quarter of 2017 to receive DDs.Meantime 851 should just make Amdep/Wldep with 10 Wldep deploy 8 DDs.If 858 can be full Wldep i think 969 also make sense which i think the former is better is minor Amdep control.

I think they planned to put 80% of A24s to AMDEP and 20% to KJDEP since WL side getting the remaining Habits from them without transfering back... Give & take...

I am not suprised if SMRT buy another 40 units of A24s and 120 units of A95s for WLDEP,Wldep transfer all E500s to KJDEP and Sungei Seletar Depot when its ready and the current 40 units of A24s is spread among KJDEP and SSDEP respectively.
