Looking closely at the specifications of Panorama Melaka's BYD K9 eBus, it seems like it was the original demonstrator meant for SMRT buses.
Observations:
1. Mobitec EDS with ICU 402 controller
2. Alcoa rims
3. Volgelsitze System 750/3 seats
4. Purple and red seat covers
5. Foldable seat at wheelchair bay
6. Driver's cabin roof has identical curved design (even with the 2 lines on it) to SMRT's MCV and Gemilang bodied MAN buses.
7. Tongda TD-10 Bus Line Announcer System. Only SMRT MAN buses are fitted with it, seems to be a custom made variant for SMRT based on the original TD-09 which was first installed on SMB137A.

Bus drivers who cannot speak simple English are really very inconvenient, and reflects the pathetic service standards of the bus companies.
If these bus companies want to keep raising fares, they should at least have drivers you are able to talk to, right? Drivers who will be able to help you with directions, drivers who can tell people to move to the back, etc
SBS raising fares but the driver quality is sooo bad. Give them English lessons lah!

Why not the locals join the bus industries then?
Giving them English lesson + test..all these need $$...are you willing to pay more?? You don't get good quality stuff by paying cheap cheap though..

TIB530U's speed is close to 80KM/H, with the red light lighting up when it goes past 60.

Got to give and take on this. Those commuters who eat kan tan one must make their effort to look at the street directory/bus info posted at the bus stop and see wat buses go to which area. If those china drivers know english, they will not choose to work as bus captain in singapore
What to do?Thats when the annoucement system play a part like HK buses.But again you come to ppl country at least learn basic language la..

That is what the third ground handling agent ASIG did at Changi now,85% locals 15% Foreigners for company staffs and the reverse for contract staffs..Better basic pay than SATS or Dnata even though they currently only handle Jetstar Asia,Jetstar Intl and Jetstar Pacific
*SMB269C (WLDEP 950) showed 925 EDS (Weekday/Saturdays) with 'Woodlands via KJE' on the side EDS, though it is Sunday today and it is supposed to be 925C with 'Sungei Buloh' on the EDS...
- TIB1203H (KJDEP 188) front trailer aircon warm (rear trailer aircon is quite cooling) and engine sounds like MK I O405G...
SBS7581U and SBS3333X bunched up at the first stop exiting Clementi Int. Both on 99. Suspect 7581U is delayed.
The BC of 7581 rammed the rpm of 1st gear to around 20rpm. The sound changed...

SMB42P EDS got problem..BC pulled into 172 boarding berth with OFF SERVICE EDS. BC had already set 172 EDS but didnt appear..BC alighted bus to confirm and he had to re-enter then the full 172 EDS came out...
