Hi there, this topic is about our discussion and opinions of how the Enviro 500s will deploy for Yishun services. Do share your thoughts! Thanks! :)
851,854,857 all from Wl
I believe WLBP is now storing those new DDs for Yishun svcs once the Temp Int opens... That's when mass redeployment will occurs possibly few days bef the DDs intro to them...
Then, to ease overcrowding of WLBP/WLDEP, I think they will start to reshuffle svcs that won't get DDs or not at the moment to partial control by AMDEP like maybe some of the WL961 slots that ended last trip at Geylang would possibly best be staying at Geylang/AMDEP, hoping likewise for WL858/966/969 SD slots...

WLDEP/WLBP to AMDEP
858 (partial AMDEP control; Buses leaving WRI after 2330 HRS will be from AMDEP)
882 (full AMDEP control; increase 2 buses)
961 (full AMDEP control)
cut fleet size
966 (more DDs to be deployed)

For 966, boarded SMB312K for 1 full trip and realised WLBP/WLDEP had scheduled daily appearance of 7 - 8 buses in between 1720hr - 1730hr at Marine Parade... It'll appear either in 2-3-2 or 3-1-3 bunching order infront and back of SMB312K...
Just for SMB312K alone, pax have to wait for next 966 bus either at Opposite Infineon busstop or along Jln TPY... The back buses would certainly clear the leftover crowds... If fleet cut when there is jam, the frequency will suck with 15 mins interval like on its wkends..
860 transfer back to Wldep la,extend somewhere else. All feeders and intratowns give to Wldep.
851 transfer 15 duties to Wldep
852 transfer Amdep duties to Budep
853 full Amdep start from Lor 1 as T1
854 majority Wldep
855 7 duties to Wldep
Amdep can partial control 75,169,190,858,960,965,966 & 970
No point control Yishun if cannot accomodate DDs..Kjdep stays with CCK/BPJ except for 172 & 180 which is better at Bulim.
961 cannot amdep full control, just need to balance the duty. Half of wldep duties start from GL1, meal there, chg shift there and the last bus also from wldep wich is jialat. 966 also some duties start from marine parade and last bus end at marine parade and go all the way back to depot. 167 also another one half of wldep start at bukit merah.
There is a great imbalance of duties wich cause alot of wastage of fuels travelling to n fro depot to starting point.
882 stay at wldep better so near to wldep than amdep, last time 882 onp at sbw n had to refuel at amdep wich is far.
858 wise, buses that ends at T2 and not going back woodlands will go back to amdep. 858A duties stay at wldep.
857 need minimum 10 DDs.
when temp interchange opens, I think there will be only BSEP DDs in Yishun to start with. If more DDs are registered under SMRT, I think they will first go to replace bendies on 190, 106.
857 - 4 BSEP
855 - 2 BSEP
854 - 2 BSEP
856 - 1 BSEP
860 - 5 BSEP
851 - 0
852 - 0
853 - 0
859 - 0
No DDs on any feeders/intra-town services.
* 14 DDs allocated for BSEP Yishun Interchange
From SBST side:
85 - 0
39 - 1 BSEP, 5 CGBP SBST
Unless the order of A95s come in faster..961 cannot be fully Amdep.Wldep have to give another 5 duty more(last 3 buses to Lor 1) to Amdep.LTA should just upgrade the Lavender Coach park to bus park for SMRT buses and with Mandai due in 2019,Amdep can close shop or let SBST Amdep takeover for expansion.
Service in dire for DDs:172,187,851,854,857 for now
Service in need for additional DDs:61,106,169,176,188,190,700,963,965,969,972
Service to get DDs at a later date:67,75,167,171,180,184,860(if get extend better),960,962(If get extend better),985(If Low branches at L1 pruned)
Once SMRT intakes more DDs and orders more DDs, I would like
851 - 10 DDs
854 - 18 DDs
857 - 10 DDs
* SMRT should fill the need for these high loading services first before giving to any other services.
* Bendies released in effect should be redeployed to kick out A22s from all Yishun feeders/intratowns and make 804, 806, 812 full fleet bendy while 811 should get more bendies.
This time around the production batches will definately do the job,No Bsep slots doesnt mean cant get DDs

Not enough DDs ordered to meet needs of so many services. Only after SMRT orders more, can we expect other services to get.
For now, SMRT fulfilling need for 106, 176, 188, 190, 857, 963 will only take almost all of its DDs.
Sad but true.
I hope SMRT also deploys on 851, 854 but unlikely given they do not have that many DDs.

5024J & 5025G registered for a month already but still not deploy yet, which could mean 1 of the YIS svcs might get these 2 first...
811 and 859 should go back to full AMDEP.
While the 2 BSEP duties that AMDEP is holding for 854 to be transferred to WLDEP so that BSEP DDs can be deployed there. Same goes for the 857's BSEP duties.
Imo no need for Amdep to control the feeders nor 859/860..The depot itself is too small and too crowded..Let it part control with Wl and CBD plus Eastern svc should goes under them.Wl will have to let go Bukit Panjang svc to Kjdep shall SMRT wins Bulim contract. No point control Yishun since its also cant accomodate DDs.
Svc that its important for Amdep to partial control is 61(Eunos),67 & 969(Tampines),75,171,960(Marina),106,970(Shenton Way),190(New Bridge Rd),853,961,980 & 985(Lor 1),854(Bedok),966(Last 4 buses to MP),965(Sengkang),858(Airport),167 & 851(Bt Merah),855(Harbourfront) & 169(AMK)..
at least Amdep can help save off service fuel wastage..
Bulim can part control 178 & 187(Boon Lay),176(Bt Merah),188 & 963(harbourfront)

857 need minimum 10 DDs.
SMRT really has a lot of dead mileages ...
858A could head south as off service to AMDEP. 858 buses that end at T2 will head to AMDEP.
167 full AMDEP control, but 167 might need some DDs.
857 could receive more DDs.
Like what i say Amdep isnt huge enough to full ctrl svc like 167 & 961 la friend..Sembawang to Wldep is much more nearer compared Amdep..
If Amdep is that big there is no need for Wl to part control 171,852,854,857 la dey,Understand or not?Wldep capacity 313,Woodlands Bus Park 240,Kranji is 250 max,Bulim 505 if completed and Ang Mo Kio being a depot only can take 170 buses the most thus you see why there is ONP at Yishun and Lor 1..
If LTA is thinking straight this should be a temporary issue.
When both fleet and depot facilities at Ang Mo Kio are taken over under the government contracting model, they should be treated as a single facility. Rigid buses from the SBS Transit depot could then be transferred to SMRT Buses while receiving SMRT's double-deck buses.
Just spoke about the devil, 5024J tdy appeared on 188, KJ bus instead... Non-BSEP DD for Yishun likely will not be so soon...
