I forsee there will be no full fleet bendy for feeder svc,Its compliment by trunk with DDs

Yes but some services like 302, 804, 806, 812, 900, 901, 903, 911, 912, 913 should strictly have full bendy fleet. Its irritating when they spam rigids on these super high loading services.
Also from these, we have to note that the loading on 804, 806, 900, 901, 911, 912 will continue to increase on account of new BTO flats and condos being built and already TOP in near future. Especially 804, 806, 911, 912 I do not know how they are going to cope with the loading once the massive BTOs/condos in the vicinity are about to TOP.
I guess since AMDEP will take the A24s mostly, Yishun feeders will get them. Some of the balance might go over to WLDEP and KJDEP to be used on WDL and CCK feeders. Probably SMRT will deploy in a way that will allow the greatest number of feeders to gain WAB status. I guess it will be pretty inevitable for SDs not to appear on feeders, especially when SMRT purchased so many A22s. As long as you dont have too many SDs (like the case on 811 now), I think we are still pretty ok with a 70-30 ratio (30 referring to SDs) if frequency is good.
LTA will introduce semi parallel mid haul trunk svc to compliment those heavy loadings feeders svc..Wanna bet?

They would have evaluated the decision thoroughly before making it.
not the time for bus fleet fantasy games mate
not the time to see temasek holdings that way either
not enough bendy then DD buses lor, or maybe LTA should allow 3 axls long SD public buses on singapore road. the last one is that sbst volvo bus, should be ok

... the thing is 997A is the only 3-axle bus. at 14.5m, it allows more pax then a regular 11.8m buses. the problem with the extra long bus is space and flexibility. if you are saying the bendies at 18m occupies more space, then why is there a big issue when SBS tried to sell 997A over 998Y and 999U?
A 14.8m SD is definitely good BUT I think the 14.8m SD will not work in singapore roads because of its big turning radius. The bendy is easier to turn and thats why any bus longer than 11.8m for Singapore has to be articulated. I believe the 14.8m has a bigger turning radius than even our DDs. The 14.8m SD can work in Europe because their roads aint as congested as ours and the bus can just eat more space for a turn.
Also 997A's design was with 2 doors. A 14.8m SD in Europe usually has 3 doors which is better. But I would say for Singapore's loading, a bendy is better than a 14.8m SD because the extra 3m length of a bendy defintely gives room for alot more people and its more flexible to our congested narrow roads.

I wouldnt like to see 302, 804, 806, 812, 900, 901, 903, 911, 912 in the 70-30 ratio. If the loading is super high, what justifies the 70-30. Do you see such 70-30 on high loading SBST feeders like 241 and 334? No. I think 1 or 2 rigids ok. not more than that.
SBST vs SMRT?First thing first..Their depots is so huge that mostly can accomodate 520 over buses..Secondly they didnt have any bendy buses..SMRT how many and how big their depot is?How to compare??The best they can do is 70:30 ratio.

Their entrance/exit arrangement a bit weird (and messy, especially SBST services)
And just in time for holidays.

As I expected, SMRT will amend a few services to call outside Yishun Polyclinic along Yishun Ctrl 1...

Europe is LHD. With the incoming new buses are all LF rather than LE, the third door would hard to place.
Think the temp Int is much smaller than current one in terms of layout

What is a RAG?

a Red Amber Green (RAG) was installed at Bishan around five years ago.
an extract of the press relase from LTA:
The RAG traffic signals will be installed to control right turning movement from Bishan Road into Bishan Street 22, so as to further enhance road safety at this junction.
A lighted red arrow is a stop signal for motorists turning right, while a lighted amber arrow indicates that motorists must get ready to stop. A lighted green arrow indicates that motorists can proceed to turn right.
In conjunction with this installation, an additional right-turning lane will be created to ease traffic flow of right-turning vehicles along Bishan Road.
...
The Red-Amber-Green (RAG) arrow signal, on the other hand, will not allow motorists to make the right turn, even when there is no oncoming traffic and pedestrians crossing the road. They are thus selectively implemented at junctions where safety is a concern such as at locations where the motorists’ view is obstructed, at intersections near road bends or at major intersections where right turning traffic does not have a good view of oncoming traffic.

Had a look at the town map at the new bus interchange, and wasn't really pleased.
So, if I may be bold to suggest:
Amendment to Service 853:
Originally posted by AJQZC:Had a look at the town map at the new bus interchange, and wasn't really pleased.
So, if I may be bold to suggest:
Amendment to Service 853:
- Yishun Int (Yishun MRT)
- Yishun Ctrl 1
- Yishun Ctrl 2
- Yishun Ctrl
- Yishun Ave 4
- Yishun Ring Rd
- Yishun Ave 2 (Khatib MRT)
- (original route to Geylang / UEC)
5 pairs of new bus stops; skips bus stops at & opp Blk 612. To reduce strain on 812, and provide alternative link between Ave 4 and both MRT stations.Amendment to Service 858:
- (original route from Woodlands)
- Yishun Ave 5
- Yishun Ave 2 (Yishun MRT)
- Yishun Ctrl 1 (non-stop)
- Yishun Ctrl 2
- Yishun St 61
- Yishun Ring Rd
- Yishun Ave 2 (Khatib MRT)
- (original route to CGA)
4 pairs of new bus stops; skips bus stops at & opp Blk 612.Extension to Service 859:
- (original route from Sembawang)
- Yishun Ave 5
- Yishun Ctrl (Yishun MRT)
- Yishun Ave 11
- Yishun Ave 6 (non-stop)
- Yishun Ave 1
- Yishun Ave 4
- Yishun Ring Rd
- Yishun Ave 2 (Khatib MRT)
- Yishun Ave 1 (non-stop)
- Sembawang Rd
- Upp Thomson Rd
- YCK Rd
- AMK Ave 4
- AMK Ave 5
- AMK Ave 6 (YCK MRT)
- AMK Ave 9
- AMK St 62 (SMRT AMDEP)
To connect outlying southern Yishun areas to both MRT stations more directly, esp. Yishun Ave 1 and 11 (as compared to relying on 804 / 811).Post Khatib-MRT sector is tentative, for the sake of direct connection between Khatib & YCK MRT, Nee Soon Camp and Springleaf / Tagore estates (as well as an alternative link at Khatib to transfer to 39 / 85 / 858 / 965 / 969). It may be scrapped and reduced to just a loop round Yishun Stadium.By retaining the connection to both MRT stations (Yishun & Khatib), all intra-town transfers can be done in the in-between sections, such that it won't crowd up the bus too much. Southbound passengers can board at Khatib MRT and northbound at Yishun MRT after the intra-town passengers alight. Overall (hopefully) helps to alleviate strain on intra-town routes 804, 806, 811 and 812.
Ok for 853 and 859, but 858 is already a v long route with heavy loading. Amended 858 route would provide more connections, but also worsen the overcrowding and bunching during peak hours. Best not to touch for now, unless there is a way to deploy DDs, split the route up and/or introduce parallel routes to reduce crowding.
