Stall tender says stall available from Dec 2014
If I see the layout correctly, there are forty eight bus parking lots and eight sawtooth boarding berths. This means the facility can accommodate twenty four bus services.
If I see the layout correctly, there is no parking lot for articulated bus. This means the high capacity buses at Yishun will be one hundred percent Double Decker.

Please dont assume each service has only 2 parking slots. It could be 3 as well.

Hmm... There are 24 actual svcs just nice, but normal hr will not have 854E, so probably can spare 1 or 2 slot for other svcs... Have to see 39, 85, AC7 & KTPH Shuttle normally how many of their buses will rest in the int...

There should be... see the image... there are longer buses and shorter buses.

Just what was needed... do we know the exact date of start of operation?
So with Yishun interchange, we can expect BSEP DDs on
855 - 2
856 - 1
857 - 3
39 - 1
854 - 1
860 - 6
* This will make the quota of SMRT BSEP spare DDs.
The designated lots is 51,Still got space for buses laying during off peak.
Can expect CGBP to convert at least 5 of its SD slots to DD. Good news for sv 39 travellers.

Excuse me to interfere... I stay along Svc 860 route and I board 860 everytime... EVERYTIME BOARD SVC 860 (Coz Svc 811 slow!!!) back from Yishun Int to my home... There is a requirement of DDs for 860...
The demand is there for the DDs as this is the only bus from Khatib to go to N4 and the new HDBs along Yishun Ring Road.
I take the bus, I know...
AM Peak- Full to the door, if need screaming to move in, then got somemore space but also full...
PM Peak, From Khatib MRT, ppl either board opp Blk 798 or walk to Blk 624 to take the busw. Not only that, ppl whho do marketing at Sheng Siong or NTUC walk to the bus stop to take the bus as I presumed they stay at N4.
Not only from there, even from the interchange, though have Svc 803 run parallel till opp Blk 314, the bus also filled up to the door at times...
Evening: Same thing as the PM Peak but more at opp Blk 798 bus stop...
Maybe wanna compare, you stay in Yishun the whole day then say...
I believe the DDs will be deployed at the correct services which has
1) High Demand
2) Accessibility for DDs to enter (Service 812 route... I not sure abt this.. Hard to predict)
Maybe I suggest these services to hv the DDs
Feeder:
804, 806
Intra-Town:
None... (Unless 812 route is accessible)
Trunk Services:
851, 852, 854, 855, 857, 860

Apart from what 9256X said, I am confident sv 860 will get DDs... it is in major need of high capacity buses... since it is under BSEP... it won't be given bendies... so 860 will get DDs. Also, looking at the number of new BTOs along the route, loading will only increase.
the last time i checked, 860 has not much need for DDs. 812 is rather bad for DDs. 852 has no high capacity buses, maybe it has not much demand to warrant any of them. i do not think there is going to be any DDs.
as AMDEP is not DD-friendly, bus services 804, 806, 851 will not be getting any DDs for now.

Lets wait and watch.. I am sure 860 will get some or at least hoping given the heavy loading towards Khatib and Yishun AM peak and opp direction PM peak. 804/806 okay with bendies... but any BSEP slot should be DD and not MAN...

Must i stay Yishun to observe meh?You jolly well know 860 distance isnt that far and SMRT already made its stand to use DDs only for CBD/Mid/Long haul trunks..So the most 860 will get is bendies..Anything can happen.
Where did you read that Yishun is opening in Dec? Only stalls floor plan is released and expected availability is DEc.

Here is the location of temporary interchange. It is quite far from Yishun MRT. I think services such as 965/969 going to ave 5 and Sembawang road are going to get more pax... as ppl will prefer taking bus from MRT stop rather than walking to interchange. Or provision needs to be made for additional stop opp current 811 stop at Yishun ave 5.
Will there be a cross junction at Ave 9 end?
To above post: Yup, it looks far, but there isn't really a better alternative IMO.

Yes... i guess there was no alternative... but u know what that is going to do...
all buses along Yishun ave 2 are going to be extemely crowded.
169, 858, 965, 969 - you can expect the load on them to increase heavily. 856/859 will leave interchange relatively empty as ppl have other options from ave 2.
For feeders/intratowns, ppl will not have option but to walk.
Those living along ave 9 might as well walk than take bus from interchange, but many could choose on their way home to take 811 from ave 5 MRT stop, even if it is little long winding.
With opening of this interchange far from MRT, loading patterns definitely going to change on many services.
