Punggol to CCK will be better using 163 after exit from toa payoh and travel on PIE to BKE like 190 and pass back to SMRT. And 159 from punggol to St. Michael's Terminal using the same route as the now 159 and 139M.
New CCK service should be 301 to CCK ave 6...and one of the two new Punggol services may be an extension of 386 to Punggol east looping at Edgedale plains.
SMRT can just add buses on 300, don't need to create a new feeder bus service unless needed. CCK is not well-connected to other estates, so I hope LTA will use this chance to create a long haul route for CCK residents.

4 new bus routes by March 2015 for CCK, Punggol and Queenstown. Click link for full details. Feeder frequency by 2017 within 08 minute interval during peak hours.
Yes. The authorities really announce them this week as per my source. However instead of the exact routes, they make some amendments to it. They leave out sengkang and yishun perhaps due to time is not right yet. So it is confirmed the services will go to CCK, queenstown and Punggol. CCK and Punggol long deserved some additions. No complaints. Queenstown got it perhaps due to the upcoming btos around queens town mrt and the insufficient services around Magaret drive, Alexandra road, gangs avenue and havelock road area. Just wondering which estate will get 2 services out of the 4 planned for this quarter Q1 2015. Cheers.

Queenstown was unexpected. My prediction for Queenstown service is a new feeder service (274?) from Bukit Merah int looping at Strathmore Ave/Dawson Road via Kay Siang Road running parallel to 32 as new BTO flats are coming up along Margaret Drive in Q1 this year.
Yes... Queenstown will be service for Margaret Dr and Kay Siang Rd given the new BTO flats there.. .Existing sv 32 has very bad frequency and will not be able to cope with the load. Will be interesting to see where the service originates from.
My suggestion:
Bukit Merah Interchange -- Redhill Close -- Redhill MRT -- Margaret Dr -- Kay Siang Rd -- Queenstown MRT -- Dawson Rd and back to Bukit Merah via Margaret Dr.
It will be short trunk but will provide alternative to sv 63 with direct Redhill MRT connection + connect new BTOs to Queenstown/Redhill.

386 won't be counted as new service as it is already launched as new service under BSEP. Also I don't see the extension happening until 2016 to Punggol East. The east-side Waterway BTOs are still under construction.

CCK does need a feeder service as well... As I previously mentioned with launch of feeder service, existing sv 300 also needs to be tweaked.
If you observe sv 300 today it is very poorly planned.
sv 300 does ave 2, then goes CCK Way, ave 3, ave 5 then ave 4 and back to interchange.
For ave 2 residents, who do not have any other service apart from sv 300, do you see how long and frustrating the ride will be!?!?!
Also ave 3 residents will be stupid to take sv 300 given 975 will take them in less than half the time to MRT.
Hence, new feeder is required such that sv 300 can do ave 4, ave 2 and back to interchange while sv 301 can do ave 3 and ave 5/6.

Queenstown for sure is Margaret Dr service.
CCK one will be a feeder for sure for ave 5/6 and modifying sv 300. Not sure if change to sv 300 will be counted as another service as well???
Punggol - I stronly feel it will be a trunk service. Feeder to where? Do you think it makes sense to have feeder to Sumang/Nibong area? I really don't think so given there is LRT.
Given this, I feel: CCK will get 2, Queenstown will get 1, Punggol will get 1. This is my best guess.
300 could have a better route, or new trunk support route towards Bukit Batok. Also, it is techinically 'serving' Keat Hong (but did not stop there) as the roundabout at Ave 5 is removed.
300 could utilise the A/B system 859 is using, and let the new feeder go towards where 300 is currently looping at Keat Hong.
There are also rumours about express services this time round. Punggol-Sengkang express service to Suntec could be one of them, but it is hinting more on SMRT express services though.

Then the new feeder bus service can be created under SMRT, don't need to be created under LTA. Must all newly created bus services be under LTA?
This is the moment for LTA to connect CCK to other towns and estates.

Please ask LTA... haven't all the routes and almost all extensions (apart from 123/124) been done by LTA and under BSEP... Don't forget LTA has also promised 80 new routes. So it has to work its way towards meeting that number, even if it is introducing some stupid routes. Even extension of 119 is included in the tally.

Precisely my point... Don't ave 2 residents deserve a direct MRT service. Ofcourse they do. Absurd to take bus for 1-2 stops and change to 67/188 for another 2 stops.
My proposal is following:
sv 300
CCK Interchange
CCK Ave 4
CCK Ave 5
CCK Ave 6
CCK Ave 1
CCK Ave 2
CCK Way
CCK Inerchange
sv 301
CCK Interchange
CCK Way
CCK Ave 2
CCK Ave 1
CCK Ave 6
CCK Ave 5
CCK Ave 4
CCK Interchange
For CCK Ave 3, you have sv 975 and when Keat Hong is ready in 2016, can have new route that plies ave 3 and then ave 1.
PS: sv 300/301 can be also 300A/300B but I prefer if it has different service numbers.

LTA & SMRT will most definitely use 300A/B if this is implemented.
Proposal for Queenstown service
Bukit Merah Interchange
Bukit Merah Central (1 stop)
Jalan Bukit Merah (express)
Redhill Close (1 new stop along blk 12, existing sv 63 stop)
Tiong Bahru Rd (Redhill MRT)
Tanglin Rd (exp)
Margaret Dr (existing sv 32 stop, blk 90 new stop)
Dawson Dr (new stop along blk 62B)
Strathmore Ave (new stop along blk 50)
Commonwealth Ave (existing stop)
Leng Kee Rd (existing stop sv 139)
Tiong Bahru Rd (Redhill MRT)
Redhill Close (existing stop of sv 63, new stop along blk 89)
Jalan Bukit Merah (express)
Bukit Merah Interchange
Advantages:
1. Quick connection to Redhill MRT from Bukit Merah (relieves load on sv 132)
2. New connection between Redhill Close HDBs to Redhill MRT (no service today)
3. Connects the new blocks "Skyville Terrace, Skyville @ Dawson" BTO complexes opening in Q1/Q2 2015 to Redhill MRT (today only service is 32 with bad frequency)
4. Also new stops along Dawson, Strathmore Ave that do not have service today
5. Return journey via Keng Lee road for quicker access to Redhill MRT
Disadvantage:
I don't see any!!
I do not remember Leng Kee Rd being accessable to Redhill MRT from Queenstown direction. The road will turn into Tanglin straight
Originally posted by ButIAmAToilet:I do not remember Leng Kee Rd being accessable to Redhill MRT from Queenstown direction. The road will turn into Tanglin straight
Yes you are right... the bus can do Alexandra road and then turn to Redhill MRT.

Mind be a new Trunk service 122 from Bukit Merah Int to Strathmore Ave (Loop), then passby Queenstown & Redhill MRT Station...

Hi mr sbst272, I think it may turn out to be a new loop service starting from buona vista bus terminal to nearby queenstown area (Margaret drive, strathmore, Alexandra road, etc). Cheers.
Sv 122 reminds me of the old route bt batok to st michaels in the 1990

please see above the service I have proposed. I want it to be from Bukit Merah via Redhill Close, Redhill MRT and loop around Margaret/Dawson/Strathmore...

It could also originate from Buona Vista but that would be too much duplication with sv 32. I would prefer sv to start from Bukit Merah via Redhill Close and loop around Queenstown area.

Hi mr busanalyser, sources say from buona vista. But before any official news is released, any interchange/terminal is possible. Cheers.
