There are around 32 buses registered in this round for 2 new services and 1 extension. Few may be fleet adds, but I think bulk of the buses will be Spare like last round of BSEP additions.
Already, PTOs are not sure which services to add buses on (especially SBST), wonder where the remaining 450 buses will go (not all can be for 40 new services... if you take the average it is 7 buses per service... which will be 280-300 buses.. so more 150 buses for fleet add... seems little extravagant.
sv 35 might get 2 DDs and 1 Citaro
sv 140 needs 4-5 Citaros (no DDs pls)
sv 41 could get 8-9 buses of which 5 DDs, 3-4 Citaros.
On an upper limit, new services will take around 17 buses... still leaving 15 buses from this round to be consumed.

That will be fantastic. Am I allowed to propose a route for it? ;)
Sure BA why not
Seems like sv 35 has 5 buses added to its fleet. Was expecting around 3... 5 seems a little too extravagant... but i am sure xilin, tanah merah ferry pax are super happy as they benefit as well with the frequency beef up. Sad to see no DDs :(

Might be either Alps or TMFT side the U-turn. It has been ages since I went to TMFT. Anyone want to see how the bus u-turn there for us?

just extend 163 to there will do use part of the 139 route and can remove 139m. turn to toa payoh centre and the rest follow 139m.

Given quite a confined space along Tanah Merah Coast Rd(widening currently), i don think DDs is suitable to enter Tanah Merah Coast Road. Maybe 35 will get DDs after the road widening is completed.
btw i suspect there 6 buses added, not 5…

Buses will turn right at TMFT and then make a u-turn to the bus stop which is in between 2 humps before leaving TMFT.

6 BSEP buses are added, with 1 slot removed (SBS2622T)
Saw 35 with almost empty buses today...

6 BSEP buses, 1 reduced from SBST fleet to be precise. So in total, 5 buses added for the extension. Crossovers from sv 9 should not ve required anymore

I am sure demand will be high from Alps once the shuttle is stopped. Wonder those who would take 9/19/89 from police check post might also now move over to sv 35 given it is right at their door step.
35 is packed during peak hours i cant deny that, but with beef up freq there is no need for DDs IMHO

yes ofcourse... with 5 buses added... no need... we were talking about 2-3 buses be added...
I think for 35 is 7 the most while for 35M might be 3
the peak hour frequency to and fro ALPS is quite high
from these two photos (credit owner)
can easily see some demand for 35 durng peak
Nice. can see good demand but sv 35 during AM had very good demand even before extension to ALPS. Need to see how many of these go to ALPS v/s alight along stops at Xilin Ave.
from LTA press release....
Better connectivity with new bus services
All, got news will announce next week. Stay tuned. Cheers.
