Turned into another roaring beast...
lower deck sitting arrange look like the SD MAN bus. If you have taken the bendy MAN bus and the SD man the in side of the DD man bus is alike. but the sit is no like sbst new buses that good to sit.

Will it operate later today?
First impressions of MAN A95:
- ADL seating arrangment (not MAN A22), but seats same as SBS7777Y.
- Aircon ducts same as SBS7777Y, but with different colour.
- Same Masats doors on MAN A22.
- Small European spec triangular window, but too tinted.
For me, I would prefer to take the Enviros instead of this MAN DD... Only thing I like on this A95 over the Enviro is the bigger legroom over the rear axles.
Gonna camp at NBR or CCK to board this bus later
SMB 5888H - 190 (KJ) On board rite now, BC horn so many times :-:
Engine so quiet. The bus will jerk a bit when the rear door close.

Haha actually the bus not bad...hopefully SMRT consider the seating arrangement from current SBST buses..

I wish their AC ducts can be those that can turn to open/closed...which can also somewhat adjust the AC speed.
+ Some headrest cushion at the rear...
Does the upper deck of this bus (SMB5888H) allows 57 or 55 people to sit?

Nah...
That seating arrangement is long outdated.

A more detailed argument as to why that seating arrangement should not be adopted: http://seattletransitblog.com/2014/09/23/the-space-fallacy-of-aisle-facing-seating/

Very good information. Really says a lot about the psychological effects the arrangement have on both seating and standing pax!
I would like to add on here: SBST Wrights actually have less seats than MMC/A95. If u count the number of seats from the exitbdoor to the third last row (the front facing seats before the rear seating area), you get 10 seats on a Wright while for SMRT DDs you get 12. So there, wrights actually have less seats while not actually yielding extra standing space.
I feel the MAN DD is the best of all the DDs we have seen operating in SG now. Good speed, smooth, nice design, comfortable seats, good capacity.
Hope mileage is good and maintenance is less so that trial is success and SMRT orders more of these.

I think it's the quietest DD ever, when compared to 7777Y, Wrights & ADL during their first day of svc. Not sure about the KUD..

The B9TL are just... Haiz
ADL is coz SG used ZF so wouldnt be as quiet
Even its fellow A22 wins all other SDs in terms of noise, or at least all the WAB SDs

Regarding the seats, I hope they change it to vogelsitze. I would say 80% chance SMRT will order, coz they hv been buying from MAN. In fact, maybe SMRT had ordered but haven't reveal it to public.
But i have to say, first time sitting on the New City seats, wow, their ergonomic was quite excellent, more comfortable for the back probably due to bigger width design and the curves... Their ergonomic design are close to Citaro's seats...
I think I will still be faithful to the Enviros and Wrights... Too many MANs on the road. Only problem with the Enviros imo is the lack of legroom over the rear axles, while some the Wrights are getting noisy. Otherwise, these two models are comfortable, especially with ZF for the first 150 Wrights. I admit that the ZF Wrights are slightly jerkier than the Enviros and probably the MANs, but I prefer the engine tune for them. Enviros re okay, but a lot of turbo whistle... MAN A95 sounds so much like MAN A22.
