It is not without precedent - There is an underground bus interchange under construction in Perth.
It seemed like only yesterday Bidadari was a cemetery.....
SG is changing fast. Can't really say if its for the better.
Bidadari is a nice place.
Then it will just be another nice HDB place.
we have one thats close enough... It's called the Woodlands Regional Interchange...
There's also one in HK, ä¸æ¸¯åŸŽ along canton road...

Sooner we will have underground bus depots as well along the integrated depots..
Indeed...
They gonna build multi storey on current CGBP...
The town demo of Bidadari looks very good... But it shows having huge trees in the center of the avenue... tich tich.. how will DDs ply these roads... they need to be careful while implementing.
Bidadari interchange in future will solve a lot of the interchange space issues of NEL with almost no interchange except Punggol having much space left except for maybe 1-2 services max... but then these slots are always kept as reserve..
coz if u see AMK interchange.. no space... when 169 extra buses come have to do double parking... clogging the interchange
I wonder how HCI can fit another bus svc? The parking lots arent even enough. On many occasions I have seen a long queue of bcs honking at each other while queuing up to park after letting passengers alight. Luckily 113A SWTs they start/end downroute from tampines road and not start from HCI and also some buses they just layover at the curve and wait till their time to depart from the interchange.

Hi mr SBS5010P, since it is a feeder bus service, hougang bus interchange can fit in due to only few buses required for the short route sbs324. The same goes for the short route sbs386 for Punggol bus interchange. If you happen to drop by Punggol int, you will even see a dedicated bus parking lane being created specially for sbs 386. The direction is 90 degrees compared to the other parking lanes. There is even a notice on the bus drivers panel telling them to adhere strictly to it and that this lane is for sbs 386. No other services should park there.
Thus when I see this, I predict the new hougang bus service to be a feeder service. Because both bus interchanges are quite full already in terms of parking lots. Cheers.

Seriously!!! Which interchange has much space left anymore?
Hence, I think you don't see long distance routes introduced anymore. There is no space to accommodate.
Sengkang has for 1 service, Punggol/HG/SGN already full...
Tampines/Bedok already full...
HF/NBR already full...
JE/Boon Lay/Clementi already full...
Yishun/WRI already full...
Eunos/UEC/Pasir Ris/Buona Vista/Kent Ridge/Bukit Merah has some space left.
i wonder who are the "people" taking the buses............

For those who want to read the press release on Bidadari Interchange.
Bidadari Interchange will open in 2019 with space for only 5 services... Another small tiny interchange!?!?!
Of this there would definitely be 2 feeder services within Bidadari town catering to Woodleigh and Bartley MRT stations.

This is what the press release mentions.

Hi mr busanalyser, you hit the right spot. Most bus interchanges will have scope for 1 more short feeder bus service, even hougang and Punggol. It just depends if they want to accommodate. As for long trunk services, some still have spaces and some no. That is why I am very eager to see the plans for BSEP 4th quarter 2014. For 3rd quarter 2014, they announce 2 new bus services for Punggol and hougang. So for the upcoming 4th quarter 2014, we shall hear news soon. See which estates are the lucky ones! Cheers.

Soon there will be a feeder for Sengkang Anchorvale/Fernvale area along Anchorvale St & Sengkang West Way... This will be 373... can already predict.. Hopefully it also covers Compassalve Crescent or later will introduce feeder for Com crescent.
Originally posted by carbikebus:Queen St can accomodate 1 more svc…Taman Jurong 1 more,Tuas 2 more,St Michaels 2 more,Changi Village 1 more.In 3-7 years time,Tuas Link,Tengah,Woodlands North,Marina South,Tampines North,Buangkok.
Bidadari announced now and already opening only in 2019...
Woodlands North will be 2021
Tampines North will be 2021
Tengah will be 2024
Buangkok should be around 2018-2019 if announced sooner
Marina South should be 2019-2020
..... so except for Joo Koon that opens in 2015... another interchange is far away... you can expect small terminals though.. like Taman Jurong came in 2013... CBP will come in 2015... hopefully Buangkok Terminal at least should be set up by 2016 considering the number of developments around HG/SGK towns... and it is imperative to connect more HDBs to Buangkok than sending everyone to HG and SGK.
