Go and do survey of Bukit Merah Interchange, and you will see off-peak buses leave interchange with 2, 5, 8 pax on consecutive buses. There will be one bus after 3 buses where there can be double digit loading during off-peak. And with 131 still being there, what is the fuss about?
We keep saying we don't want LTA to waste money on stupid services, and 275 was one of them.
SO WHAT DOES NOT QUALIFY AS A VALID TRANSFER?
The following do not qualify as valid transfers:
- MRT to MRT transfer does not qualify as a valid transfer but does not affect eligibility for subsequent transfer to bus (valid transfer will be awarded to or from MRT only once per journey)
- Transfer between MRT and LRT (if passenger exits from the paid areas of both systems)
- Transfer from a bus to another of the same service number or to/from a subsidiary service that does not qualify for a transfer.
- Transfer to/from Sentosa Bus, Night Services & CT services
- If Bus Concession Pass (BCP), Train Concession Pass (TCP) or Hybrid Concession Pass (HCP) is used
- After fifth transfer

Who would transfer between 131 and 275? both have the same route, no need to transfer.. Did not get the point you are making.

You do have 145 that is direct from Henderson Road (Bukit Merah). You have 65 that is direct from Lower Delta Road to Harbourfront. You have 855 that is direct from Jalan Bukit Merah to Harbourfront. On top of it you have new services 120/121 providing better connectivity to Tehlok Blangah estate. You have 123/124 extended to Harbourfront.
I think there needs to be NO more new services to this area. Need to focus on others now.

BMR to HBF can take 855 from Jln Bt Merah (Outside Redhill Close Estate) -

I initially thought 121 will do this road... but no.. this means LTA not interested to ply bus service on the narrow street... and wants ppl either to take service from Ganges or Tiong Bahru.

I have the same feeling too... All the services at Bukit Merah are under ARBP, with the exception of 131 and 153. Wouldn't make sense for 131M to be under BRBP...

But depends if the buses are crossover from 131. Then it will be BRBP.

Yes that is obvious :) That is what SWT are meant for... to cater to higher demand within a small segment of the route.
