The first batch of MBO405G has gone. I wonder when the MANdys will come to replace these.

Two separate tender notices altogether states a total number of 40/41 bendies to be scrapped.

By the way, for the case of SMRT buses coming near to de-registrations, most of them are already refurbished, so it should be named 'Lay-up and redeployment'.

No buses are allowed to be extended for Mercedes-Benz O405G (Hispano MK1). 40 of them will be replaced by MAN NG363F, if there is (sufficient) time

I have already raised this matter previously...when there isn't any special cases (like buses being laid up or de-registered before lifespan expiry date), these threads don't serve their purpose at all. Furthermore, there are breaks between expiry dates of different batches of buses, which result in threads expiring. Past cases of Leyland Olympians, MK4s, SMRT O405s and more are examples. That is why I stopped creating threads for de-registration or lifespan extensions of buses and instead post them in suitable threads.

If SMRT keen to make their feeders WAB then they should buy another 50 units to replace the MK 2 & Volgren bendies too..Habits and other non WAB buses can progressively scrapped from 2016 onwards

Since 10 bendies were gone, I have seen bus services like 964 still getting other SP MK1 bendies...it seems like continuous cameos. 868X 875A 877U are among those I can remember doing 964 lately...

Actually they got buses to replace those older buses but problem is the lack of spacing in the depots..Notable is Kranji and Ang Mo Kio..They cant afford to park newly registered buses at Interchanges.Cannot simply throw older buses at Wldep/Wlbp cause its starting to crunch also..I might think Wldep will move to the future integrated bus depot together with the Thomson East Coast Line rail depot

40 A24s replace 41 MK1s... Hopefully another 40 units to replace the MK2s..Seems like Amdep would not get it since all the MK1s are from Wldep & Kjdep respectively

I got info the MK2s will also go off by early next year,A hint of SMRT getting another batch of A24s.
