I think since Yew Tee area was developed long time back... and there are almost no new developments in this region... LTA does not care to add new services there, when you need it... It has a thinking "If people have managed all these years with only 302/307, then even now it should be okay."

Most people would walk to Yew Tee MRT Station, or change buses at Choa Chu Kang Interchange. Trains from Yew Tee towards Jurong East are still reliable, so the push for subsitute modes of public transport is not as strong.
A new trunk route towards the city would come in handy, or perhaps an extension of an existing trunk from Choa Chu Kang.

Problem is none of these changes can easily happen as you do not have very good exit to Woodlands Road from Yew tee. Even via Sungei Kadut, the routing is complicated and off-peak no demand. This is my analysis why none of the Woodland bound trunk services or CCK trunks do not ply Yew Tee.
Though my suggestion is a trunk can start from CCK interchange (considering there is no space for interchange/terminal around Yew Tee MRT). After it starts from CCK Interchange, trunk can travel via CCK Dr, CCK North 5, CCK North 6 and come down via CCK Way and continue towards Bukit Panjang or Bukit Batok.
I would suggest route such as 171 can be diverted to CCK via proposed route as anyway with opening of DTL, this route will become redundant BPJ onwards. OR can introduce a new route but I feel Yew Tee residents deserve a trunk service.

Yeah, but CCK Way outside the DB complex no bus routes plying. Across the road got plenty of HDB blocks. Nearest bus stop is along St 52.
Even st 51, 54 deserve bus service. There is really a good scope to introduce a new service here - dunno why LTA is not introducing for this area. I think ppl there very complacent. The dog who barks the loudest gets the largest. This is how society has become.

That is why there are so many bus lobbyists out there, and it has been happening for years.

Brickland Road is experiencing a similar situation as well (only one bus stop either side). Major southbound trunk routes are routed through Teck Whye, which is a more mature estate.

A roadside terminal, similar to Taman Jurong, might be possible. It does not have to start from the MRT.
Sungei Kadut traffic pattern is pretty extreme. During peak hours, buses really struggle to take everyone on board. However, it would run empty during off peak hours. One possibility, if the route is to serve Sungei Kadut is to run along Sungei Kadut Drive, and to truncate the route during off-peak as how 98M is.
there will be a new service in YT by end 2014 accordingly to their MP...but should be just feeder service..
they should introduce a new service from Kranji Depot, go to Sungei Kadet and then YT Mrt and then to CCK int or can turn into KJE to Boon Lay/City area.. or turn int KJE then brickland road and then to Bukit Batok....

If there is a new service, they should at least extend to BPJ as in future people may want direct service to BPJ to transfer to DTL.

This has been proposed but no response.

In future, I expect two services to run the stretch of Brickland road, one initiating at CCK terminating at BPJ via Brickland road. The other going to Bukit Batok via BBT Road. Both Brickland road and BBT road have huge HDB complexes coming up in future. But this will be 2016+

BPS1's days are numbered once all the new LRT cars are delivered.

There should also be a service introduced for Hong Keat area. 100+ HDB buildings coming in the area.
For the Sv 42 fleet add, it remains unclear whether is it under BSEP, for SBS6755S (BNDEP SP) is on 42 today.
Also for Service 63M, at least six buses (6359 6451 6453 <unknown> & the perms) running today.
Originally posted by BusAnalayzer:Today only 3307 on sv 119. 3310 on sv 62 and 3319 on sv 87. So only 1 DD plying.
3319? You mean BNDEP controlling 87 already?

Maybe 3319 got transferred to another depot, just like how the B7Rs with CR228 bodies were moved from Kalamunda to Malaga even though they were initially allocated to the former (Sgbuses should know what I am referring to; we both spend a lot of time in that part of the world).
It is still very much HGDEP - what are we talking about?

But 3004 is implying that 3319 is a BN bus.

That's not true.
