so far no see strider and mk4 dm at BNDEP lay up corner yet (as in last wednesday)
Yesterday spotted SBS904T being towed out from CGBP.
Originally posted by Gus.chong:As mentioned by many people, it may appear at BNDEP very soon...by the way, has anymore Striders appeared at lay up corners of BNDEP, HGDEP and AMDEP? SBS Transit has also yet to declare official de-registration for those in the January 2015 batch that has already been sent to the scrapyard...
I think very likely that's the last time we see of 1990L already. It's quite obvious that the depots are having the run-them-till-they-drop mentality for the Mk4 DMs & Striders..
If you see anymore Mk4 DMs or Striders involved in accidents over next few months, then high chance that's the last we see of those buses alr.
On another news, 2716G spotted today on Sv 8 newly-repainted. That's interesting. I thought they would let that bus go off early like 2706K. hmm, turns out maybe not!

I think it was also repainted long ago... If they don't extend this bus, then like SBS1898X case liao.

Nahs, the current paint job is quite bright recent. Max 2 weeks old because before that I still see it in the old painted livery.
SBS980Y SBS983P SBS986G SBS1971S SBS1973L SBS1981M SBS1982K SBS1983H
- de-registered on 04th November 2014.
SBS1937S lifespan de reg date is 23/11/14
btw normally before a bus retires from revenue service, how many days will it be laid up before retiring on the particular date itself?i mean by days it laid up.

Depends...some buses may never be laid up at all, some maybe for 3 to 5 days, some even like 3 months to 7 months...which may result in buses de-registering not on the lifespan expiry date itself.
Hmm sometimes those buses cameo on other svcs away from its perm service.
Surprisingly SGwiki didn't mention those B10M that suddenly de registers before January those like 980Y,1970-1978 really made me confuse to believe the bus is in service.Btw those have been scrapped?

Those buses cameo because they have been put to spare once the new buses like Citaros replace them...and yes, those buses officially deregistered before lifespan expiry date have been scrapped once they have been towed out of the lay up corners of the respective depots...
Can anyone help me get a rear desto? U can either go ask the BC for it or go to the smrt/sbs scrapyard in kranji. Scrapyard sell for $30
By the way, can anyone brief on all the replacements for the de-registered MK4s in October & November?
Many Citaros were spotted on 103 today.
2623R is repainted/restickered.the orange colour portion of the bus looks quite bright now..
SBS987D spotted on tow along PIE last Thursday.
It seems like after all the January batches of MK4s have been sent to scrapyards, a few of the later batches have also commenced their early retirements...

lemon1974 mentioned that SBS2613U was spotted in AMDEP's lay-up area... Though I don't really think there is early retirement for these buses now, since I still see SBS1998R (not 26xx series, but close enough) and SBS2600G on their perm services. Need to check for 107's Striders.
