No wonder I didn't see it on 293 today.

JB bus replacement?

And the DMs and Striders too...
1896B 1897Z 1898X & 1902S spotted at BNDEP corner. It's the end.

That was fast. Didn't expect it. I thought they would run 1896B and the bunch till the end.
Oh well, glad I took 1896B one last time last week. A/C was dying, suspension was crumbling each time it went over a bump, but gearbox & accleration were still running good. Hopefully its internal parts would go onto other Mk4s still in BNDEP.
Long life it had on Sv 518, but I'm happy it ended its life still in PSR territory. Good memories of 1896B on Sv 518 (back then when unlocked Mk4s with slipping gears & roaring radiators were the norm some 10 years ago).

Nahs. I don't think they're keeping the SP Citaros solely/majority for replacing the ex-JB Mk4s. Some of the JB Mk4s are worth the extension if they decide to do so. Mileage might be on the higher side, but alot of them still have well-running internals (decent acceleration, good top speed, strong A/C, no obvious holes in floorboards if you walk past).
Will be a pity if they decide to scrap all the ex-JB/current-JB Mk4s before they are all extended to 19 years.
I believe once the October/November batches of MK4s have been sent to the scrapyard, the February/March batches will be the next one to go first...

As mentioned by many people, it may appear at BNDEP very soon...by the way, has anymore Striders appeared at lay up corners of BNDEP, HGDEP and AMDEP? SBS Transit has also yet to declare official de-registration for those in the January 2015 batch that has already been sent to the scrapyard...
